Because I'm here to explain how it happens!

Some people had cases like 2 red pansies somehow made purple

or how I once got a blue rose from black roses

They in this version added genes!

that means that a flower with a certain ability can be passed down for example

a black rose made by a red rose that makes blue roses

the red rose passed the blue rose making to the black rose so you can do black + black = blue

confusing but true.

or red pansies made purple

orange pansies that made red pansies passed down purple pansy making

I was afraid that this was true... Making these rare hybrids is going to be a pain Now I need to plan this stuff.

Thanks! It's hard for me to get hybrids to forcefully pop up. Usually they spring up unexpectedly. I have tons of pink roses, two black roses, black tulips, orange lilies...And more than that! I really want blue or purple hybrids, though. Especially on pansies! I think it looks really pretty.

Not a question but a realization: now that it's likely more difficult to produce epic hybrids... I don't feel so bad. =)

purple pansies and blue roses are the hardest.

I just want to add that this is really only for blue roses and purple pansies. I've successfully grown a blue pansy from two bags of white pansies bought from Leif.

basically its passing down abilities.

Lets just say your going to get some strange results sometimes with hybridizing
