I am so annoyed! I had caught some bugs, and was in 1st and 2nd place. I then left my ds on sleep mode. A couple of hours later, I had forgotten about this, opened the DS and pressed the power button without realising, closing Animal Crossing without me having saved it. I missed the Bug-Off and the loads of fossils I had donated earlier. Sigh.

Do you get an item for beating 80 even if the high score is higher then the bug you gave Nat?

No. You have to beat the tops ore and for it to be over 80. I gave him a couple bugs after my rainbow stag that hit the 90 mark but didn't get any furniture.

I got a honeybee closet which isn't the greatest but I kept it
So uh the bug off wasn't too bad, I went to the island the night before to pick up some....important supplies, so I gave about 10 bugs to Nat, but can't remember all of them....

I prepared last night by catching a lot of beetles at the island. I decided to start off with my cheap beetles, hoping to get different items. But my cheapest beetle, the first bug that I turned in, ended up going for 140 points. The rest of my beetles have only gone for 100-110 points even though most of them were golden stags ;-;

I hear you...I tried giving him my fleas and mosquitos to get the ball rolling and I collected all different beetles according to size and the first goliath gave me the most points and all my other more expensive ones got nothing...I was not happy...I could have sold them!

I'm looking for the honeybee closet, and the cicada stereo. Is the spider clock part of this set too? I've seen it as part of the set in the guide but it seems weird that they would have two clocks.

I got the cicada stereo today. I don't really like it, so I'd trade you for the caterpillar couch.

This was my first Bug-Off, and I have to say I like how the villagers congratulate you for your placement after the ceremony. I really wasn't expecting Ankha (3rd) to say "Please accept my sincere congratulations" while making the furious (I think?) emote, got a laugh out of me.

I won with a Hercules Beetle at 141 points. I ended up getting two pieces of furniture, the ladybug chair and the snail clock. They're both so cute! I also love my beetle stool from last month. ^_^ I had hoped to get more but when I left at 84 points, I came back to Flo with 114 points and found it impossible to beat that until I got the 141 points. -_- This is why Flo needs to leave!

Second Bug-Off and I turned in a horned dynastid I got from the island and got a firefly lamp and first place.

I won first place with a golden stag worth 161 points!
Second place was Hippeux with...55. Really, they didn't even try. lol

Next bug off I'll try for second place to get the other trophies, but I'm still missing 3 items from the bug series.
