The best way to get a villager out?

First things first, I'm fully aware of the trick on how to get villagers out by TTing! BUT. I've been doing that all day today trying to get Daisy out, because I want to make room for a dreamie. But all of my "best friends" villagers are the ones who actually tries to move instead and I have to tell them no. She has never once thought about moving, but I'm thinking, is it because we're not best friends? Because the ones that wants to move are the ones I talk to the most.. idk do I just have to be best friends with Daisy to get her out quicker? Because it doesn't seem like it's random at all.

I think talking to that villager works best. Also if they are the last to move in it's harder to get them out. Though not impossible.

♥ I tried at least 15 times before Rodney asked to move,
I didn't ignore him, but I didn't try to be best friends with him either.
But I think the best way is to ignore them.
If you don't mind going through the trouble,
you can create a new character and introduce yourself to everyone in town except Daisy,
and hopefully she will be the next one who ask to leave. ♥

I've been TTing all day. But I think its actually best to be friends with them, because i've tried ignoring other villagers earlier when I want them out, but they ended up never leaving

I don't know if anyone else has had this experience but when i DON'T talk to a villager at all, and don't introduce myself to them when they move in on any of my 4 characters, they move out really fast. The last 2 villagers that I haven't talked to at all (Kitty and Chops) have moved out in around a week without pinging me (I only found out they were leaving through Isabelle when starting the game up or through another villager telling me). Hope this helps!

I don't know why but ignoring has never helped for me? :? I've been trying to get Paula out for ages and I've ignored her multiple times. Nothing.

I really wanted Chadder to leave. He was sick and I didn't give him any medicine or go into his house to talk to him. Seven days later he was better and out walking around! A friend of mine came over and he literally told her that he wished she was his mayor because she'd "give him medicine" the next day there was a rumour he'd move out, I continued to not talk to him and he moved out four days later. I know it's not the best strategy because you can't control when your villagers get sick, but it definitely helped.

I think its 50/50 tbh..I get what you mean about ignoring them and they never request to leave. And then the actual villagers you want to keep request to move, so I think maybe you could talk to the one you want to move atleast once a day. TT two days forward - if nobody is requesting to move talk to them again and then carry on like that. Thats what I do and I get both, wanted and unwanted villagers requesting to move c:

Unfortunately sometimes it just takes an awfully long time. Providing they are not your most recent move in, as they are pretty impossible to get out no matter how much you tt, perseverance should do it.
I was tting for ages the other day trying to get Deirdre out, and we had high friendship as she had sent me her photo twice.
She just wouldn't ask....every other villager asked at least once, several even asked 3 times. Anyway, I decided to ignore her, tt'd day by day for another month and never spoke to her once and she never pinged....but one day Isabelle said that Deirdre was leaving when I loaded up the game!
I assume not talking to her for so long affected her pinging me....but it's all entirely random really. Friendship levels really don't seem to make any difference.

Keep going! I was feeling like it was impossible at times too!
