There is a pretty large library of 3DS games now.
What are the best of those games? What makes them great?

I really like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fantasy Life, Rune Factory 4, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I don't think I can pick a favorite. :o

Majora's Mask 3D
ORAS
Kid Icarus Uprising
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon
A Link Between Worlds
New Leaf

Tough question.

Obvious contenders would be the HD remakes of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. However, I'm not sure they should actually be in the running considering they're just updates of already existing games with a few things tweaked and added.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire are also really good, but again, they're just remakes of already existing titles. It does have a few boosts over the original installments, with wi-fi capabilities not only for battling and trading but also with the secret bases.

Fire Emblem: Awakening sold really well and helped to bring the Fire Emblem series back from the brink of death. That said, the story and characters are bland by series standards, the map layouts are uninspired, and it's not as tactical as past entries in the series.

I don't have firsthand experience with any of these games, but I've heard great things about Bravely Default, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

As cliche as it may be considering this is an Animal Crossing forum, I think Animal Crossing: New Leaf actually is a good contender for best 3DS game. It allows for more customization, be it for your player character or your town. You can use QR codes to either share your created patterns or download someone else's so that you can lay down paths in your town or wear cool custom clothing.

There are probably some obvious contenders whose names escape me at the moment, but I'd say that AC:NL, Bravely Default, KI: Uprising, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate are all probably in the running.

Monster hunter 4 ultimate is the on,y game worth getting

I'm in love with Fantasy Life and I recently got Fire Emblem: Awakening.

favorites:
- acnl
- rune factory 4
- fire emblem: awakening
- fantasy life
- achhd
- style savvy: trendsetters
- harvest moon: a new beginning

Here are mine as of this point in time:
-ACNL
-ACHHD
-Fantasy Life
-Pokemon OR/AS/X/Y
-SSB3DS
-Majora's Mask 3D
-Ocarina of Time 3D

I personally find that Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask, ACNL and SSB3DS were some of the best. The two first ones were Zelda classics, specifically Ocarina of Time, and they were some nice polished games, while keeping the game true to what they were. ACNL, well, it's like amazing. I've never played any games before, but compared to City Folk, it's a lot better in some ways. And Smash Bros. for 3DS brought like 58 characters to the first portable game of the series. It had classics and brand new characters. Overall, I love all these games.

BTW, Fire Emblem Fates would be here if it came out, but yeah, that will be one of the best 3DS games.

Eh, I'm very picky person. So I don't think there's a lot of good 3DS games that I can think of. Bravely Default, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, Story of Seasons, Pokemon X/Y, Pokemon ΩR/αS, and Fire Emblem: Awakening weren't my cup of tea even if they are praised by critics.

Super Smash Bros 4 would definitely be on that kind of list. The game is so fun, with the wide variety of characters you can choose from and DLC that keeps on making the game fresh.

The Animal Crossing games on 3DS (New Leaf and Happy Home Designer) are distinct to one another, but both are great games. If you plan on playing a game that takes a long time and you have nothing much to do in your life, New Leaf is perfect for that. But if you want to play something quick, but enjoyable, and you want a simulation game with great customization or you're simply a sucker for interior design? Play Happy Home Designer.

The Legend of Zelda games are worth checking out! Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, and A Link Between Worlds. The three are different but they're old Zelda games re-imagined for 3DS. The graphics are so stunning.

I've played Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 7 with a friend. They were amazing games.

Fantasy Life is also good. There's so much things to do in the game, the visuals and music are fantastic.

To sum up, the best 3DS games in my opinion are:
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
  • Super Smash Bros 4
  • Super Mario 3D World
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer
  • Fantasy Life

Also Yo-Kai Watch and Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley are worth checking out if you don't give a damn about character relationships and graphics, and you wanted a game suitable for all ages and you want some different gameplay from their genres. I liked those games even if a lot of people don't like them.

My personal favourite is definitely Kid Icarus: Uprising. There are plenty of games I also like, of course, like Phoenix Wright Trilogy - if that counts, and MH4U.

Fire Emblem Awakening, Yo-kai Watch, and New Leaf are my favorite titles.

I really want Mh4, Persona Q, Triforce Heroes, and Fantasy Life though.

Fire Emblem Awakening would be my #1 (Fates may take this spot), but other would be:
-Mario and Luigi: Dream Team (Paper Jam could take this spot IF IT WAS OUT IN THE US YOU HAVE NO HOLIDAY TITLES ON THE 3DS NINTENDO AND THIS GAME IS DONE WHY DIDN'T YOU RELEASE IT)
-Bravely Default (Bravely Second could take this spot. Gee I sure am saying this a lot. I wonder why all of these great games are getting sequels? Maybe because they really are great games???)
-Kid Icarus Uprising (No sequel here :/)
-Triforce Heroes

Smash 3DS has really awkward controls and is generally outclassed by the Wii U version in almost every way (other than their main exclusive mode. Smash Tour is dumb. Smash Run is fun.)

Kingdom hearts 3D is a good one. Theatrhythm and Rune Factory 4 are also amazing for wasting all my time.

I just got Fantasy Life and I'm hooked, so that one's a contender for sure.
ACNL is of course great..
But apart from that I don't play many 3DS Games so I wouldn't really be able to pick a line-up that's actually a good one.

Top three in my opinion that I've played:

1. Animal Crossing New Leaf
2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
3. Pokemon Y

Other good games: Fire Emblem Awakening, Story of Seasons, Mario Kart 7, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

Hm,
-Pokemon (ORAS)
-Mario
-Fire Emblem
-Bravely Defult
-Animal Crosing: New Leaf
-Zelda
-Luigi
.... more xD
