The best bird species?

Eagles, birds, penguins, ducks, chickens. These are the five species of birds in animal crossing. But which bird species is the best one around?

I love all of the different species of birds found in the Animal Crossing series since I'm fond of birds in real life.

My favorite of the bird species would probably have to be the Ostriches since there are so many of them that I'm fond of. Blanche, Cranston, Flora, Gladys, Julia, Phoebe, and Sprocket are all fantastic as far as I'm concerned.

I think I have to give the second place spot to the Penguins because penguins are my favorite animals in real life and I like the short, chubby design penguins have in this series. Hopper is one of my absolute favorite villagers and I also like Boomer, Cube, Flo, Friga, Gwen, Roald, Sprinkle, and Tex.

The Bird species itself is in third place I figure, because I like a good number of them as well and they have a cute shape. Jacques, Lucha, Midge, Piper, and Robin are all solid designs. I actually had a bit of a tough time deciding whether I'd rank them higher than penguins, so it's a really close third.

Eagles are in fourth place because I like a good number of them but their design is a little more awkward than the previously listed species. Apollo, Buzz, Celia, Keaton, and Sterling are all great. I liked Quetzal back in the day too, it's a shame he didn't return in the Welcome Amiibo update.

Chickens manage the fifth place spot by sheer number alone. Knox is my favorite of the chicken villagers because his gold knight helmet and how he makes a good pair with Sterling. Other chickens I like are Becky, Broffina, Ken, and Plucky.

Ducks are in last place. They have a cuter shape than Eagles and Chickens, but the Duck species has the fewest villagers among the various bird species that I like. Gloria is the best Duck for me. Molly is cute and I like Drake's mallard coloration. I don't like the others enough, but Bill does have a nice maroon color and I appreciate Scoot for having the helmet so it's not all bad.

Ducks are a hit or miss for me. They're either really cute or really weird.

Chickens? Becky with the Purple hair is the only design I find great.

Ducks are my favorite bird type villager, simply because I love ducks in real life and even if a lot of the ducks’ designs are wonky, I still can’t help but love them so much. Ostriches are my second favorite bird type because of Blanche, Flora, and Phoebe, although a lot of the ostrich designs are cute. Chickens come third for me, but only because of Benedict. He’s my favorite chicken villager (honestly, the only one I really like) but he’s made me love chicken villagers, which I never thought possible because I didn’t even like Benedict until he moved into my town. I can’t stand eafles, there isn’t a single eagle in the game that I can really tolerate whatsoever, and their designs are all weak, in my opinion. Penguins are meh, the only one I somewhat like is Boomer, but even then, I get burnt out on him easily, so I made him leave my current town a couple months back.

I chose chickens since I couldn't choose ostrich! Mostly, because I really like Ken and Plucky, and I felt like they wouldn't get as much love. All birds are great tho.

I don't really like any of the ducks at all except Molly. Eagles are probably my first favorite, followed by ostriches and penguins.
