Back when I reset my town I TT back and fourth a day to get new stock at the stores, and that is when I found Flurry, one of my dreamies to be leaving me :(

I was wondering to anyone who this has happened to, is the 16 villager cycle worth it? Because here are my two problems that keep me back and fourth on it.

1. I just started keeping count but don't remember exactly how many have moved out since. She just appeared in the town centre after 8 I counted, so is she obtainable again once I don't see her there anymore?

2. I have gotten 9 of my other dreamies ( I realise was a bad idea now). Realising no one moves in after 9, and I don't want to just steal people's dreamies on here just to cycle out, the only way of getting a 10th (at least 8 more times) would be through the campsite. But then there's cycling out that same villager without losing my dreamies :(

I'm a bit torn and was wondering if anyone dealt with something similar!

Yes I have! Actually last night Kidd moved out when i didn't play for a few days :( I had 10/10 dreamies and I was really devastated

So I let him go as well as my 2 other dreamies in lower tiers so they wouldn't be too hard to obtain and started cycling with 3 open spots. I'm at 10/16 right now for him but will technically be doing the 18-villager cycle so I can get back my two other dreamies I let go with Kidd.

Also, the most recent move in has shown to be extremely difficult or even impossible to move out, which is why you should to cycle with at least 2 open spaces.

You could open a thread letting people visit your town with a voided villager! This way they don't have to worry about dumping an unexpected move in the next time they wifi, plus you get another villager to cycle out

I also explained the main street thing to someone yesterday as well! Hope you don't mind me copy+pasting:

For example this is the written record of my town's move-outs
http://imgur.com/iH4NoMm

The pink highlighted means they used to appear on my Main Street but not anymore, so they can move back into my town.
The green highlighted means I still see them on Main Street, so they can't move back into my town
I forgot to record when fauna moved, but since she still appears on Main Street it means I haven't moved out enough to get her back
Non highlighted are my 8 most recent move-outs. They for some reason aren't to appear on Main Street

If you're not sure how many you need to cycle to get snake back, just keep moving out villagers until he appears on your Main Street. Then keep going until he's gone
Hope this helps a bit

Good luck! :)

if you're worried about stealing someone's dreamies to fill slots i've voided my fair share of villagers through cycling because nobody's on to take them. you could adopt a couple from me or try for any of the ones that have been voided too.

it's down to thinking about whether you're really that bent on wanting her back? because yeah, it is time consuming to get a 10th every time to cycle out so any of your other 9 favorite villagers don't leave. and it's risky too, bc you stand to lose some other villagers by accident. so it really depends on whether not you think flurry's presence in your town is worth all the effort just to get her back- might take the fun out of the game too ><;;

but y'know to be fair, if that happened to me and i'd lost lucky i would 16 villager cycle for him in a heartbeat regardless of the odds lmao

i'm currently trying to get Fauna back. 3/16 cycles. Hard work, but in my opinion, worth it.

I think I may just find someone else to replace flurry, I mean at least I see her in the club and on main street! Plus I'm so scared to lose apple, she's never been a dreamie prior to my town restart but when she randomly moved in I fell in love with how cute she is!

I didn't always know about the 16 villager cycle, so when flurry left I was quick to get my other dreamies to fill the void thinking she was gone forever haha

It's a lot of work
If it's your favorite then maybe yeah
But I find it best to get another villager
There are many cute normals
It seems easier to me to just restart a new town as it is a pain to have one villager move

It's pretty frustrating. In my opinion if you really loved having that villager in your town, you should do it! Maybe you'll come across a different villager you'll love even more.

You gotta fight for who you love! (or set them free if you find someone better) I would think it would be exciting to just wait and see who moves in and just cycle them as you went without really pushing it just to add a little element of surprise to the game. :)

in my opinion no :( there are soo many cute villagers so it may be nice to experience new ones. plus keeping track/ risking losing all your other dreamies/ stressful time traveling can be hard to deal with.

I may just leave it alone. I have Lily who was a dreamie I wanted (not as badly but still liked). I always wonder if I should replace her with rosie or loly but I can never be sure >< They're way to many cute villagers in this game to just pick 10!

In my first town, I lost Chrissy and wanted to do the 16 villager cycle but I also had my other 9 Dreamies obtained, so it was extremely tricky. Gave up after around 7 or 8 villagers.

And after I resetted, I tried to do the campsite reset trick when you first build the campsite and get the first camper. But the catch is that villagers will move in/out, and one of my Dreamies moved in. Luckily I didn't any Dreamies yet so I was able to cycle her back with ease.

You can move some of your Dreamies out first (get someone trustworthy to hold them), as it makes the cycle easier. It's up to you, really.

So what your saying is that if you don't see that villager on main street any more that means that if you have encountered them and they want to move and you ask them to move is=n they can?

I have a related question... when do you start seeing old peeps on main street? I've had only one dude leave so far (Rascher... who I liked but I wanted to see who else I'd get) but I've never seen him out shopping.

I think it's all based on how many villagers have moved out since. Like for Flurry, it was about 8 or so until she showed up. I've not kept track from the beginning but I think it is something like, 8 have to move in and out for that villager to be on main street, then another 8 for that villager to not be on main street and reset
