Ankha pinged me today to tell me that she was leaving... tomorrow. o___o Ofc I stopped her, but I have nightmares of Isabelle saying "Oh! And [villager] is leaving today! Please say goodbye to them!" when I load up my game.

I talk to my villagers daily, but I have work so it's hard to play for more than 30 minutes a day...

What's the closest you've ever got to a villager potentially leaving??

Well one time molly actually left and i didn't even want to play the game for a few days after that .-.
don't think i've ever had any close calls though.

During the fishing tourney, some villagers told me Pierce wanted to move. But instead of pinging me he'd just be outside with his fishing rod

I reloaded the game a lot to make him go inside his house, but literally everyone else switched between their house and outside while he stayed with his precious fishing rod every single time. It was so frustrating XD

Mine is the complete opposite!! Apollo pinged me today saying he was leaving on the 18th, and I accidentally pressed the 'No.' Option ; ~ ; Here's to hoping he pings me again because I want him OUT.

Luckily ive been able to catch them recently but only because f Easter break. Now im back to college I could miss anything.
Hope not though now ive redecorated with tons of hybrids

Ken snitched on Bunnie yesterday. She'd have been in boxes had I not caught her with holes and did the dive method to get her to ping me. Bunnie never tells me she's moving unless someone else tattles on her.

day before the move I'm sure

but I've moved/stopped way too many villagers way too many times to keep track of which

they won't ping you again about the same moving day in that case, but they certainly can decide to move again at a later date

I would be happy to take him when you make him leave :p

My God, get the Star Rod!!

But, keeping on topic, closest I ever had to having someone move out is I think 4 days.

A while back, I didn't play the game for days because I was too exhausted from the long hours at both of my jobs and when I did get back on, Isabelle told me that Ruby was moving. :( It was really heartbreaking. More than I thought it would be. :c I'm just thankful I had a spot open on my second town and moved Ruby over temporarily. I didn't play in either town for days after that. :c

I reset my town a few weeks later since I was unhappy with it so Ruby is back where she belongs. And I'll be keeping a much better eye on her this time.

Thats why I always go in front of my favorite villager every time i time travel even
if they are insidde the house i wait for them to come out

Villagers who are thinking of moving will always be outside (except when they're sleeping). So no point in waiting for them to come out of their houses; if they're inside they're not thinking of moving. :)

I'm really careful when it comes to keeping villagers from moving. I have 5 towns and I've never had an unwanted move out. However, there have been a few close calls. One time I thought It was safe to shut off the game for the night, but right before bed I remembered that i forgot to do something. Good thing I turned on my game. Grizzly was planning on leaving. I would have been a bit upset if he had moved.

I don't mind when villagers move out. I like to see who moves in even if they wreck my town. I do have a few villagers I don't necessarily want to move at the moment but if I can't stop them then oh well. I'm not too hung up on who is in my town. I can always work around their house. I also don't want the same popular villagers as everyone else.

I was trying to get Hamphrey out because he's so ugly. I kept TTing so much and Erik wanted to move on the 21st, which was tomorrow. I stopped doing it and dealt with Hamphrey being a permanent resident. Thankfully he asked to move on my birthday, greatest birthday present! :D

The event ones are a pain. For the fishing tournament you just have to wait till it over and get the congrats from everyone. Than save/quit and start the game back up. The rumor villager will ping you right away.

The worst one I had was on Lolly birthday. She was the mover and celebrated till midnight. At midnight she was asleep.
The next day she ping me right away. So far I've caught everyone with a lot of time to spare. That's why they call me the pro listener.

I was doing some time traveling and put my villagers in consideration of moving. Fauna pinged me to move out, but she was one of my dreamies so obviously I was going to make her stay. I wasn't careful and accidentally chose the option to let her move, I was panicking by this point ; u ; Fortunately, I talked to her a few times and she brought up moving again, which gave me the chance to decline the second time.
