I'm not sure if this has been asked before or if it is in the wrong section. If so, I do apologize! Anyways, on to the topic at hand...

Do you every have that villager that will NOT leave? I've got Rasher whom... I'm not very fond of. He has made three of my animals upset or angry, which I do not take kindly to. I've time traveled over two months and he hasn't pinged me once. Everyone else has at least three times but not him. He did once and it was before I knew you could reset and get a villager to ping again. I said he could leave and he told me that he didn't know me yet and was going to stay. He hasn't pinged me since then. x.x

Has anyone else had this annoying problem? If so, how long did it take for them to finally ping you again?

Yup, got that problem with Flora. She was a voided villager who landed on my paths and destroyed my bushes >~<
Been around my town for two months before she moved out, I think.

I used a method where you TT 6 days ahead*, then 6 days back, then find the villager who wants to ping you and leave. If it's the wrong villager, say no, and rinse and repeat.
*This is when you decline a villager to move on the same day, otherwise you'd probably cause someone else to move away accidentally.

All I can say is keep on trying :c
Good luck getting him out

Last year, I had a rough time trying to get the Lazy horse Clyde to ping my Mayor Jill in Applewin. He was not offering the pings for a move. I ended up creating a new character; had that new character introduce himself to everyone, including Clyde; and then had the new human character talk with all villagers except Clyde. That finally was what did it. But, I had to be careful: In case Clyde tried to pull a fast one, like tell me he's going to change his mind about moving, I did constant saves in case I had to cut out (meaning, turn off without saving). He has since been replaced, in that slot, by the Lazy bear cub Stitches.

I had that with multiple villagers and since I run two towns that both share the main position it was pretty annoying. Two cases I still remember like it was yesterday were Ruby and Phoebe. Both of them were the last ones that needed to get out and stop hijacking spots reserved for dreamies. I TT for I think 3 years for Ruby and 2 years for Phoebe, let me tell you I was FURIOUS at them, 1,5 week real time spend at TT was pretty much more than I could handle. I was lucky my girlfriend TT the last bits for me to save my sanity x3

I had Gloria as my starting villager whom I disliked and her house was in front of town hall. >:c all of my unwanted starting villagers moved out except her and it took her 4 months before she finally pinged to leave (it was a week from my birthday so that was a good gift from AC). ;u; LOL

YES! Hamphrey. He was the last non-dreamy I needed gone, it took him an awfully long time to get out of town. I forced Time Traveled to get Hamphrey to leave, but it was a no go. I stopped when a dreamy told me that he/she was gonna leave town in 1 day. Then when it was my birthday I received the greatest birthday present, Hamphrey wants to leave!!! I told him to leave and luckily he did not decide to stay. I was so glad he went bye bye!

I had this problem with Pashmina. No matter how much I tried to move her out or just played the game normally, every villager would ping me except her. She pinged me once and I said no at the time but she never asked me again. I finally got her to move out after several months of trying, though.

Whitney. I invited her through the campsite so when she was in boxes, I could sell her. But she decided to stick around for 8 months before she packed up and left. I had to kick out Francine because Whitney wouldn't ping me to move ;-; I'm glad she went to someone who really wanted her, but I would have gotten all my dream villagers sooner if it wasn't for her :mad:

I had Klaus try to move twice and each time I said bye. Then he was like "wait! You're not sad? Maybe we weren't good enough friends! I'm going to stay to fix that!" and I had to deal with him or more months. ;___;

Finally, I got a ping from Blaire and she was like "oh no! Klaus is wanting to move!" and I was like "I AM NOT TALKING TO HIM!!!"

And then he ended up moving. xD

I'd really like Genji and Bella to leave and neither have pinged me once. Is there any truth to the idea of villagers "anchoring" themselves?

When I was just starting out Octavian moved in randomly, right in front of my house too. I couldn't stand him and I wanted him to move worse than any other villager I had until Rory and his shirt incident, but Rory was only around for a little while so this isn't the place to rant about the shirt incident. Anyway the first time Octavian asked to move he changed his mind when I told him to go for it. I was just starting out so I though to do reverse psychology next time and of course that didn't work. By the time he moved out I had three villager pics of him, that's how much we "bonded" with all the time he spend in town. I guess he grew on me a little, most villagers I end up warming up to after having them (except Rory) but all the same I was so happy to see him go. Sometimes it seems like they just move out on their own once you stop hating them and accept their presence. "Oh you like me now? Goodbye forever then."

I was meant to hold Rosie for someone while they reset. It's been at least two months and she has yet to ping me once to move. I introduced myself and talked to her for a while, but then chose to ignore her until she'd decide to ping me to leave. She's pinged me for everything else besides that. I contacted the person that she originally belonged to but they never responded, so I just want her gone already. I recently got a new villager for my 10th spot, so hopefully now she'll start asking to leave.

23 different villagers moved out of my cycling town before Diana decided to move. And after she left I still got 2 of the original 5 villagers still living in the town.

That used to be a problem for me. I don't like jocks at all, and they just love to refuse to move or never ping. So far, I've gotten all the villagers I don't like to easily move.
I hope I'm not jinxing myself. ;n;

Oh my gosh... do not even get me started on Flora. She would NOT leave. it took me months of TTing to finally get her to move out. I got her from a cycling thread and gave her to somebody else, hopefully if they don't want her anymore she'll get out of there! I was literally in tears of joy when she left. ;3;

yes, for wart jr. he's pinged me twice to move, and both times I told him to leave, and BOTH times he said he was going to stay instead. oh my god, just leave already.
