Terrible visitor experiences

Ive personally never had any, but im interested on what other people have experienced!
(This can either be CT or just simply people visiting your town!)

Not sure if you are speaking about Club Tortimer or having visitors to your actual town. Regardless, I have never experienced either. I have never been to Club Tortimer and any visitors I have had to any of my towns have always acted with the utmost respect to both my town and myself. I don't often have people over, but that's simply because I am a solitary player.

Someone tried to rob me on Club Tortimer once. I set my 3DS to the side and did something else to wait it out. They eventually got bored and disconnected.

Fortunately nothing worse than that has really happened. I had a scare once with someone from this forum who came to my town uninvited (my gates were briefly open for someone else). He asked why I had so many items on the ground, so I informed him that I was holding them for someone else (the same person I had opened the gates for). He then announced that they were all now his. I had never wifi'ed with him before, so I freaked out and disconnected immediately. Turns out he wasn't being serious, but I didn't know that at the time.

So far I have had wonderful experiences when others stop by my town. I also try my best to make sure that I'm respectful when I visit as well.

Only my friends visit me so i didnt have bad experiences in my town. On CT i had some bad experiences. I just had one minutes ago so

I've had a couple annoying experiences at CT, but none in my actual town. I'm pretty thankful for that.

I only invite people that I trust with my town.

But don't even get me STARTED on CT...

I haven't had any bad experiences. Just one sort of annoying experience: When I was building my "Labyrinth" town of Goblin, I had been hoarding gyroids from four towns (Goblin, my main town of Ruddyoak, my old cycling town, and my mom's town). I had a huge collection of them on my beach in Goblin, because my goal was to fill the entire beach with gyroid goblins.
Anyway, a visitor stole one of them. It was just one, so no big deal, but it was annoying. I guess I was lucky they didn't load up their pockets! They didn't do anything else out of line, either, so I don't consider it a bad experience.

One time I was letting people from this forum come over to visit a special RV. I asked them to wait for me to escort them once they arrived since it was my main town. I don’t remember who, but I had 3 people over and one kind of vanished so I ended the session early. Later on I noticed a couple purple pansies were missing. Jokes on them though, they were hacked flowers I got from someone else so the thief wouldn’t be making more. That’s when I stopped inviting people to my main town though.

Not that bad, but I hate when people stay for like half an hour just because you said it was okay to look around and stuff. Like bruh I don't wanna pull the switch or be rude because we did a trade but.. y'know you can be faster eh?

This is actually a humerous story now that I look back on it. And tbh, I was never really upset, just acknowledged that not everyone is good. Years ago, before I went on hiatus, I was giving away a bunch of flowers in my town. Well one person stole the hybrids I wasn't giving away. After it just happened and he had left the town, I remebered chatting with two of my NL BF friends, trying to plan out a counter attack xD I planned for one of them to go to his town and steal them back but it never happened because I just let it go, doubt that theif would open for anyone lmao. Like I said, I was indifferent about the action since it is just a game. : P And humans will be humans! So really it's a terrible visitor experience turned into a funny memory ^.^

I never really had bad visitor experiences whenever I have people come over from this forum, actually- but the last time I invited someone from club tortimer, they had completely vanished and took a couple of my hybrids with them (‘～`；)

My first time at Club Tortimer wasn't exactly great. This girl was grieving the island, digging holes everywhere, scaring away sharks, chopping down all the trees, and causing chaos. She asked me what my favorite color was, and when I said ' black and pastels ' she got triggered for some reason, called me a *****, beat me with her net, and cussed me out further. I quickly disconnected.

Why though? I don't get some people. At least I got a piece of mermaid furniture from the shop, so it wasn't the worst.

Because they're trying to get a reaction out of you. There is a level of anonymity to it and with that anonymity, they do things they wouldn't ever dare try in person.

Once I let someone who I thought was my friend over to my town. He brought his buddy, who proceeded to distract me while he stole my hybrids and cut down my trees. I was considerably upset, but fortunately one of my real friends gave me all my hybrids back. I replanted everything as well, so no lasting damage was done. I deleted the offender, or course.
