Terrible Things We Did in WW/DnMe+

I had rivalries with villagers. On the Gamecube it was Ursula. On Wild World it was... Savannah? Victoria? Really silly of me, but it was strangely fun to mess with them.

Also I was totally incompetent at playing. I spent all my time doing... I don't even know what, messing around with villagers, making designs. But somehow I was always poor. Paying off the house mortgages was a distant dream. Getting Shampoodles? If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't even have known what that was.

Receiving my first piece of furniture was a cause for celebration in the original, because I had no clue how the game worked. I eventually hoarded so much stuff in that cramped little home after I figured out the whole furniture thing that I couldn't reach any of the roaches hiding around.

Well.... I got the gc version when I was 21 a few months after it came out cuz my BFF told me too, ha! I totally blame her for my ongoing obsession. I played all the time. My other bestie who lived downstairs from me started playing it with me as well, so we got a 2nd copy so we could travel. Then ww came out. Had to go buy a ds for that one, and I played it during my lunch hour durung college. I got city folk but never really got into it.

Now when we found out nl was coming out, I bought my self a 3ds with Xmas money, and for my bday, I reserved 4 copies for myself and my 3 oldest kids. We went and got it and the guide when it came out, but sat on it for 8 LONG days cuz we were going to go on vacation and the trip was 10 hours long. At 5 am on the day we left, I threw back the 3 copies of acnl to my 3 oldest, and luigi's mansion to my youngest and started it up. I named my town birdsong after my bff's maiden name and my mayor Midori after my green cheek conure. I luv my town. I luv this game. Best game series ever!!!

I made my own patterns for my walls and carpets and they were checkered.
Black and white checkered pattern all over ever room in my house.
Looking back just makes me go eughh.

I was about the same age and thankfully I never did too bad. In fact, I would sit and play for hours to get everything done. The only bad part was I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when it came to luck/breeding hybrids/turnips.

My favorite part of WW was the huge trading quest it had. Give a massage chair to Tortimer in exchange for this, give it to Tom Nook for that... I went through the whole quest myself. In fact, it wasn't until right before someone seeded my town that I discovered online play.
