I had planned my island out a fair bit a month in advance, and I figured it would take me about three weeks or longer to complete. Then this self-isolation thing with you-know-what going on right now, and I'm finding myself having a lot more free time as of late, so I've been basically just prepping my island for terraforming, which I've since started.

Over the last two days, due to all this free time, I've progressed my terraforming plans much faster than I thought I would. I'm quite enjoying it, but at the same time sort of dreading it because I'll finish sooner than I anticipated. Granted, I still don't see myself finishing terraforming for at least another week and decorating is a whole other story and I expect that will slap on an extra week or more, but...

It's kinda nuts what too much free time can do, huh?

If it gives you hopes that it will take a while, I have change my layout as I progress, rethinking a lot of things. so even after you think you are done, there is always something you can change. :)

Perhaps, I may tweak small things here and there after a while. We'll just have to see.

Hey, you never know. If some of those things that are in the datamine come up anytime soon, you might need to re-think your plans. I know I will, and I haven't even started terraforming yet. I'm just starting to draw up ideas!

Ugh.. don't remind me. Though, I am looking forward to it. Always nice to have a change of pace.

As you see how others decorate and get inspired with nintendo continuously releasing updates, I suspect you'll switch it up if you're still interested in the game. That happened with me in New Leaf atl east

I thought the same thing. There's this sense of pressure knowing that I'm nearing the halfway point of completion, then I realize that like most art, we'll never be 100% done for very long lol.

I never even started with a plan I've just been putting in features and tweaking them everyday , you'll probably end up tweaking sections too once you see how they look, sometimes things just don't quite look how you think they will. I'm constantly changing the terraforming I've done

Today I terraformed for so long that my Switch (picked up at 100% charge) somehow got down to 5% without me even noticing. Now...usually, I see it when it says "low battery" at 15% charge. But, this got all the way down to 5%. Not only does that speak to how long I played for...but also how deeply I was concentrating on my "work". Lol. So...yeah, I feel ya with the terraforming.

I spent 8-10 hours terraforming for 3 days, stopping only to eat lunch and dinner. Only to redo everything again because I'm never satisfied.

Now that I've read the possible upcoming content, I have to redesign again. But thankfully, just 1/4 of my island. I just get too hooked up in terraforming.
