Telling Isabelle to change a villager's shirt doesn't work

Well, almost everyone is wearing the ugly folk tunic. I try to tell Isabelle to get rid of it, but they're all still wearing it. Whats going on!?

This unfortunately only works with custom designs, not if it`s a regular in-game shirt. Try to give, sell or send your villagers shirts you like or put a design on the mannequins at Able Sisters. Good luck!

Oh, oh well. I just hope that all my villagers won't wear it.

It's only for custom designs since it's meant to help people remove inappropriate designs if they've gotten their villagers from other players. Just try to give them other shirts to wear or replace the designs at the Able Sisters since they tend to be likely to wear designs you've made. What i do is a solution someone posted here on this forum. You make all your shirts in able's to an umbrella. Then you mail the shirt you want that villager to wear. But the trick is to send them 5 of the same shirt at the same time. Nine times out of ten, this trick works. The villager will be wearing the shirt you sent them next day or the day after that.

The only downside if you are picky about how your villagers house is on the inside. Because this method will result in one or two of the shirts you sent them being displayed in their house.
