Tell me about your current/future pets :3

I love all animals. If I could (read: If I had enough resources/money) I would probably just adopt and/or foster any animal that needed a home xD

I currently own a Chihuahua with my boyfriend. His name is Dallas, and he's long-haired and "normal" sized, meaning he is not a teacup Paris Hilton chihuahua. He is a complete suck. He is a brat. He is too spoiled for his own good! But I wouldn't change a thing about him. He is also extremely intelligent, he picks up new tricks ultra fast, and he follows us around everywhere.
One embarassingly bad habit he has is sneaking up to the cat litter tray - and yep you guessed it - tries to eat my cats turds. We nicknamed him the Turd Burglar xD I am slowly but surely breaking his bad habit though, don't worry. I'm well aware it's disgusting. Most of the time he doesn't even eat them, I catch him before he gets that far and he just drops the poop and hides under the couch.
Okay, I would definitely change this about him lol.

Here's our baby:

SO, tell me about your pets! Do they have any quirks/bad habits? Have they ever embarrassed you?
Or, if you don't have any pets, what would you like to have?

Omg, do not be ashamed. My dog does this.
Well use to. We toilet trained our cat! Please don't judge me.
I've had multiple dogs that like to eat cat poop!
Thankfully, with the right kind of litter (ya know, chemical free) it isn't really harmful for them. (We've asked our vet.)
It's just super gross x_x

I`m going to take a cat. I love dogs just as much, but they need more attention then I can give her/him, with work and all.

You know, when I clicked that spoiler I was actually expecting your baby. I meant an actual human baby.

My kitty's name is Destiny. She's a calico and she sometimes thinks she's a dog.

A bird made a fool out of her the other day. She was inside, it was outside, and it flew up to the window and she jumped off of her perch with the intent to catch it and she fell off of the window sill.

I own one gerbil named Bear, his brother, Skeltyr, died in January to a tumor that spread into his organs. It was too late when we found it to save him :(

In the future I'd like to get a ferret.

My first pet was a yellow lab named Toby. He was really sweet. <3

A month after he passed (RIP ;-; ) we got two kitties from a shelter:

Three years later (a few months ago), we had to have Mikey put down because of kidney failure. </3 He had apparently been born with it, but the shelter hadn't know/told us. Patrick is still up and running though. :)

We are also dog sitting a yellow lab mix named Buddy this summer, but I don't have a picture of him.

In the future, I hope to get two cats, one of the preferably a Maine Coon. ^.^

I don't have any right now but once I finally move into my flat that my partner is decorating I'm going to get a Brachypelma boehmei (Mexican fireleg tarantula). They are my favorite Brachypelma type because I just love the colours on them and think they're so beautiful. Plus they tend to be very docile so I would happily handle one. I'm not scared of them like a lot of people. I just find tarantulas so fascinating.

I have 3 cats (2 tuxedos and a tabby) and a chihuahua/yorkie mix.

When I move out I really want a shiba inu. They've been my dream dog for a very long time. ; - ;

This is one kitteh. She let me cuddle her into picture-taking submission. You can see the hate in her eyes.

In the future I plan on getting a doll faced persian, a samoyed puppy, and an alaskan malamute puppy.

For all you Elder Scrolls: Skyrim fans out there, I have two twin boy Domestic Shorthair Cats named J'zargo aand M'aiq the Liar (after Khajiits, a race in the game). We adopted them at 7 months old from the Humane Society. They will be 3 in September. They are the sweetest boys you will ever meet. And SO IDENTICAL! But DIFFERENT, just like identical Human Twins! They LOOK the same (my boyfriend and I can distinguish them easily though just by their mannerisms and by a slight difference in their tails) but they are BIG cats with two very distinct and different BIG personalities. We love them SOOO much. J'zargo and M'aiq. We feed them Science Diet (really healthy, expensive cat food - $50 per bag)They eat before we do (which sounds nuts, but they are practically our kids. I wish I could show you pictures. And like brothers, they fight sometimes for 3 seconds, then a minute later go back to licking each other and cuddling :P Silly boys.

Aww, sorry about Skeltyr; tumors are no good. I might actually have a pair of gerbils in the future, now that I think about it...

I've seen a few videos of ferrets, and although I've never had one, they sound like a lot of fun! My inspiration (I believe she's an animal trainer) said that "they are one of the most comical animals to live with." How exciting!

I have a new puppy, we got him around march. His named is Tater :) He's kind of a Chesapeake bay retriever mix thing.

Oh wow, I thought thread died after the first 2 posts (I guess I didn't pay attention)
Thanks everyone for sharing your fur-babies - they are all so damn cute! <3

I have a border collie named Ash and a golden retriever named Peaches, but she's really more of my family's dog.

I'd like to get a cat but for now I can't cause everyone in my house is allergic. :(
