Splatoon Team Charizard or Blastoise?

I have heard about the splatfest going on for Pokemon's birthday (even though i dont have Splatoon yet ;-; )... i would personally choose Charizard because

1. he can use the move fly which can be useful in and out of battle
2. he is a ok smash character
3. he is a FIRE type

I choose Blastoise because

1. It's a water type and Charizard is a fire type. Rip Charizard

they're both really boring (most gen 1-2 are) but blastoise is just a biiit better mainly cuz he's water type

I was excited for the splatfest until I saw it was Pokemon. Then I'm like: Uhhhhhh. What?

I chose Charizard because my dad thinks he's cooler, and I asked him because I've NEVER played Pokemon before

Blastoise because I like the color Blue more and I like turtles...

Blastoise is the smarter choice, typing-wise, and I actually prefer blues to reds and oranges, but I love Charizard more. For some reason. Maybe I just like fire.

...even though fire isn't very effective against water

Charizard, its weak to Blastoise, but that gives me an excuse to get a Jolteon- woooooo!!!!

I feel so weird because I don't like any of the original starters. At all. But i I had to settle it'd be Charizard.
