Everything was quiet up in the trees. It almost seemed as if it were too quiet. Why wasn't the Ostrich attacking anyone. The birds realized that maybe the Ostrich wasn't targeting the birds hiding out in the trees just yet. All at once, they rushed to the pond.
They arrived too late, however, for in the center of the pond was a mix of teal and purple guts. It was clear the Ostrich had been to the pond, but no one knew for sure if he was still there. The other birds pushed Ashtot out to investigate.
Ashtot all of a sudden exploded and left a pile of a green feathers.
Dad, the Teal Splatoon Squid, became a pile of guts.
C r y s t a l, the Purple Splatoon Squid, joined the pile of guts.
Ashtot, the Chicken, exploded.

You are one of three squids competing for complete coverage of the board of players. Every Day and Every Night, you must PM the host with the name of a player (dead or alive) you wish to ink. That player gets covered in your colored ink. You will forever stay your color ink even if inked by another player, but players that you ink can be changed into a different color by your opponents. Once you die, you can no longer ink players. In addition, you have one ink bomb that can be used once during the game. The ink bomb can only be used during Night and how it works is that the intended target gets inked along with anyone they interacted with and anyone who interacted with them.
In the event multiple Splatoon Squids target the same person, the player who sent in the action first covers that target in ink. It is to your advantage to send in your action early.

What was the point in claiming? You've just narrowed down the already too-narrow list of players who possibly have blue roles.
