For some reason, I am having extremely horrible luck finding a tarantula D:< I've spent countless hours over the past couple nights trying to find one and I haven't even SEEN one :'/ Anyway, I wanted to know how often you guys tend to see them?

I just saw one a few minutes ago, I didn't have my net with me, of course.
But that's the the third one I've seen since I've started playing a year ago.

I haven't had any lucky finding any so far, actually. I usually had like a relentless end of tarantulas and scorpions, which I loved for the latter since I adore scorpions, and catching them made great money.
And now it's a freaking desert.

Ahh thank you! Yeah, I remember last night, I stayed up at like 3 am trying to get one, but it never showed up :v
I?ve only seen 2 in my time playing animal crossing, one I hunted for by taking laps around my town then entering and exiting the train station and repeating (didn?t really take long to find and catch it) the second time was completely random and it ended up attacking me lol if I caught it I was gonna put it in my house as a pet
Good work! It's always when you're trying to catch one you have a harder time I think.
I was hunting for one myself for a few weeks. Because I have so many trees and flowers and things it might touch/run into and disappear I had a tough time catching one. Caught one a few days ago.

I've seen one this season. I tried to catch it, but I was a bit too far when I swung the net and got bit. It's the last bug I need to complete my collection.
Tomorrow is the Solstice, so I'm hoping for better luck with the daylight to play in.

In my old town, I saw one and it knocked me out, to my surprise. That was the first time I ever saw one, so when it knocked me out and put me in front of my house I was very shocked. I didn't expect that!
I'm trying to complete my entire museum in my new town this time, so of course I needed a tarantula. It took me awhile to actually find one, but I found that running laps around my town and resetting the spawn rate by entering the train station or main street worked pretty well. The first time I found one and scared it off accidentally. The second time I was able to catch it. The third time I accidentally found one by running up to my sign post with my net out, and I STILL managed to catch it!! Harrowing.
She's my pet now.

I haven't seen one since I first started playing the game and it was just a week or so after I got the game. I was TERRIFIED, I thought this chillax game would start requiring me equipping a sword and shield or something!
Haven't seen one since though, so I'm still missing it from my collection. But I haven't really been looking for one either.

I saw that thing a few times, but was only able to catch it two or three times in all the time where
I play New Leaf. Most of the time, it either attacked me out of nowhere (like, I didn't noticed that
there was even a Tarantulas around me) or it disappeared before I was able to grab my net.
Catching that little monster in general is quite frustrating for me, same with the scorpion.
