tarantula problem

Last night Player 2 and 3 caught a tarantula in the same spot. The mayor caught one there too. Count in town one is 5 tarantula and one scorpion caught. I haven't been playing after 7 pm a lot. I usually move on to my next town.

Player two caught hers just after 730pm. Player 3 played next and caught hers around 830pm. She was walking down the side of her house and there it was. There is a campsite next to it.

They will show up on your pathways. Last night Lolly went running pass Player 2 and than stopped in front of the police station.
She stood still and wouldn't move. I walked to the back and when I returned I found a scorpion moving in the blue and red roses. It was close to the river and it jumped in. Three villagers stood still when the mayor caught the scorpion. I went to the right and there it was moving and than trying to hide in the red pansies.

To find the bugs easier I removed some trees,PWP and some flowers in places that I saw them spawn a lot. Placed a few flowers in a checkboard pattern so it wouldn't be too open. I also took the pathway down to one tile in a few spots where it there wasn't a lot of open space. I noticed that they spawn where a rock spawns.

It was fun watching a tarantula circle my feet as I fish and caught the fish. So busy watching the bug that I had to check the fish I caught later. The circle got smaller and it disappeared under my feet.

Best to just go about your daily things. Villager pinged me and a tarantula walk by. Got it.
Villager asked me to deliver a package to Tutu. Walked out of the house and a tarantula was to the left. Caught it.
While fishing I caught 3 or more bugs. They just walked pass me.
If they go for the river try moving back. I had one on the edge and it moved forward when I moved back.

Thank you. I hope I will have good luck tonight with tarantulas.

Very rare? I seem to get them occasionally. They have spawned more frequently than the Dorado, and certainly the Coelacanth.
And yes, they spawn by rocks. All of my flowers are by rocks, so I'd previously thought the flowers were the cause.
Be out late at night, and make sure it's during the summer. I've never seen a scorpion, though... *shrug*
