Tanning Troubles

So my character keeps tanning no matter what precautions I take (I keep flip-flopping between stages 3 and 2). XD

I've sat (awkwardly) in a neighbor's house for an hour, then moved into another's for another hour. And I walk around with an umbrella unless I need to pull a tool out. I've been avoiding going outside at the island as well. It's been a few days now with no real progress, and I've never had this much trouble removing a tan. Is there an easier way to remove the tan in NL (preferably without time travel), or do I just have to wait til September? XD

wear a hat it keeps the sun off you and lemon packs makes u brighter not sure if thats bit true.

Yeh, my character's eyelids are paler o.o

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I didn't leave my character idle for too long, and she already tanned quite a bit. But I don't want it. ):

I always wear my luigi hat and I never got anymore tans after that. There was a website I once saw that had a list of hats that prevent tanning.

Lol, your problem is exactly the opposite of mine. I cannot for anything get my character to tan and keep it up.

Has that changed in new leaf? I've had to deal with this before and used this: " http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Tan " as a guide, but my usual tactics don't seem to be working in NL. DX

Visit the island for an hour around 3pm and just chill, that should start it. XD

This. It's always cloudy and raining when I play, so it's been impossible to try to get a tan.

Awesome! Hats used to not stop tans, glad to know that has changed (makes sense since I started tanning after I took my Straw Hat off)!

i was using this other list some1 posted and lemon pack was on there can't remember where the list is now

apparently the Mii Mask prevent tanning... some1 needs to confirm this
