talk about the villagers you have history with!

idk if there has been a thread specifically about this, but i recently asked bree to move in as she was one of my besties in new leaf, and then today i was going through my old photos of my new leaf town and found one of her.

it made me so happy to find this photo and remember how much i loved her and think about how lovely it is to have her on my island again. new leaf was my first AC game and this is the first time i've had a villager from my former town move onto my island. it feels like a family member returning home! so now i want to hear about your villagers who have returned home, or the ones you're hoping to have again.

Ah, I’ve got so many on my list. I first played animal crossing back in Wild World, and my best friend back then was Twiggy the bird. I loved her personality a lot, and talked to her every day. When I read that you could get your villagers’ pictures if you were close enough to them, I tried my best to become close to her but I don’t think I ever got her picture.
There’s also Antonio the anteater, an alligator whose name I forgot, Pecan the squirrel, and Dora the mouse.
The first thing I did when I got New Leaf was to try to get my best friends from WW back into my game - Twiggy and Antonio. I got Antonio naturally (think he was one of my starting villagers), but didn’t get Twiggy until much later from someone on these forums (I think). Antonio was my best friend in New Leaf because I knew him from Wild World, and I built my house next to his. However, how moved out one day and I was really sad. I eventually got him back again much later when I switched from physical to digital and had to start over.
In New Horizons, I haven’t gotten any of my old villagers back yet, but it won’t be so difficult anymore since we can now create our own NFC cards to summon any villager we want.

Pierce and Marshal were the only 2 villagers in NL I had a big attachment to. Marshal for obvious reasons and Pierce because he was one of my starting villagers in NL and he's my birthday buddy! During NL days, my/Pierce's birthday is in early January and it was right after the new year. I was super excited to finally get the birthday song from K.K. and celebrate my birthday in-game with my best bud! But one day, a few days right before our birthdays, a new duck villager moved in to town (I don't remember who it was but believe it was Molly). She came from my friend's town and moved right in the middle of my path. I was so mad. So mad that I quit the game cold turkey when she moved in because I couldn't stand to see her. I missed my in-game birthday and Pierce's even though I was looking forward to it for weeks. I thought about it for years and the off time I did pick up the game, Pierce was still there but Marshal moved out which pretty much made me never pick up NL again.

In comes ACNH, I didn't know the first 2 villagers were guaranteed uchi and jock (I would have reset for him even though I already reset for 3 hours trying to find him or Marshal), but luckily I got Marshal as my first campsite villager and my friend had Pierce as their starting jock + didn't want him. Now he's home with me at my island! I want to celebrate our birthdays properly this time, even though if it's many months away

I think the only villager I was sentimental for from new leaf( my first AC) was Chadder. He was a camper in hew leaf and I fell in love with his personality. He was my favorite villager. Now thru trading I got to have chadder again! While i don't like how they did smug in this game, it still makes me so happy to see chadder back with me!

Skye. When Animal Crossing New Leaf came out in North America, she was one of my starters and she just sort of stuck with me ever since. She's actually moving to my island in literally like... 5 minutes, lol.

I've always had bluebear and she is my all time favorite!

I remember one time - cant recall which game - she was moving away and there was no turning back and I got so sad!!! Appreciate NH where villagers won't move away without your "consent"

Whitney and Lobo! I was sad at first about Ankha moving away from my NL town but Whitney came along and took up the exact same spot as her (beside my house) and I grew to love her a lot since she filled up that snooty void lol.

Lobo was one of my OG cranky villagers and I remembered him living at the far edge of my town; every day I would go see him just to talk to him and give him gifts. I also decorated the outside of his house with black roses since he seemed like he would like it. But they both moved away soon after when I stopped playing for a couple of months so it's nice to see them in my NH island now. It's like my old friends reconnected with me!

Kabuki was my first villager I really liked in the gamecube version, but the most recent memory would be Peewee and Tiffany in NL. I just remember they celebrated my birthday and I was like "They are staying here forever"

I made this joke shirt in NL and didn't think anything bad would happen having it displayed in the Able Sister's shop.

Alfonso and Rosie!

Alfonso also happens to be my all time favourite villager. I became obsessed with him because he was a starting villager in my first new leaf town and I fell in love with him. (That's also how the lazy personality came to be my favourite). He's so freaking cute and looks so cuddly. He always received extra special treatment in new leaf. Ever since then I have always insisted on having him in all my new leaf towns and also on my island in acnh. I have his amiibo card, so it's easy peasy to always have him with me :3

Rosie because she was the villager I decided to start out with in acpc. And believe it or not acpc was my first ever animal crossing game, so Rosie is very special to me for that reason. She's also a sweetheart and I love her character design. I have her on my island currently.
