Taking Photos without Miiverse?

How do people take screenshots now without Miiverse? Do you just use the in game functions? From what I remember the quality wasn't very good that way

i don't see an image quality difference in miiverse photos and photos taken in-game. after miiverse shut down, i always took them in-game, and either put my sd card in my computer and copy the photos from there, or i enter this link in the 3ds browser and make the photo into an imgur photo: http://imgur.webrender.net/

for image quality, i know there was a method of making the image less pixelated but i don't remember..

Waifu2x. Helps with noise and does edge smoothing kind of thing iirc

I use luma 3ds to take screenshots, though it might be a bit slow sometimes

I use network to transfer/copy pictures from 3ds to laptop then use waifu2x to enhance the quality a bit.

Yeah.. miiverse had better quality images for some reason. I used to take screen shots normally and then transfer them to my computer by taking out the SD card, but now a days I just email them to myself. Go into the web browser and log into gmail. You can attach multiple photos at a time and send them to yourself. Just make sure you do this when your library isn’t too full, otherwise it will take ages to load the album each time you wanna upload something lol. I use photo shop to clean my pictures.

Smh Gmail don't let me log in, so I use either my sd card or I do it with facebook

Yeah going onto the Miiverse account was way easier. Then you could just hop by on the web and copy paste it wherever. Or save it to your desktop. It's a lot more difficult now or time consuming. Speaking of Miiverse being down, it's also harder to save Smash footage replays. Not that that applies to NewLeaf, just wanted to vent a tiny bit lol.

Vent away! I'm still annoyed about it cause nintendo never sent me the email to recover your pictures so now all my old pictures of my town that I was saving are gone </3
