Swapnote Question

Hey guys! I haven't used swapnote in forever but now my niece has a 3DS and wants to send messages back and forth. I can't seem to figure out how to get my stationary.. The couple notes she sent she was able to send voice, picture and stationary. I just don't get what the problem is.

I know they took away spotpass(due to stupid parents choosing to not set up parental controls..) but should I be able to use stationary?

My system is updated.

I thought there was a button in the bottom right that let you change stationery as well as send voice and pictures.

But I haven't used it in years so I don't remember much.

I thought so too but I couldn't find one when I tried to use it. Thanks for trying to help

I think you have to unlock it after writing a certain amount of notes. You don't have to send them, just write them,
