I guess the disk has an update on it... My wii updated the second I went to the disk channel the first time I put it in.

Yeah I finally got the Wii Shop channel lol.

It has an update for people who don't have an internet connection to use for the Wii and/or have not downloaded the latest Wii update. In my case, for example, I didn't have to update to start playing.
