I'm not sure if there is already a thread about this.

Who else wants a sequel to this game? This is my best Mario game of all time. Even my dad likes it, and he's not into games. I started playing at the age of 4, and me and my dad never knew what to do! I have many more memories, but I don't want to write a novel.
Each level is so much fun and it's sad to me that there is not sequel.

What are your memories of this game?
Also, do you want a sequel?

I love this particular Mario game and I'd love to see a return of F.L.U.D.D unfortunately this game is the black sheep of the Mario games (excluding non Nintendo Mario games) so I don't see Nintendo making Super Mario Sunshine 2 anytime soon. Nintendo would much rather remake their NES game another 47 times.

I would love it. I found it very interesting and unique from all the other Mario games. I would prefer that the they Sunshine 2 than another sidescroller. At the very least, I would like it if they did something a little more experimental, maybe in the Sunshine vein.

I enjoyed Super Mario Sunshine, but I don't think it's worthy of a sequel. I don't think any of the main games were worth a sequel. It felt unnecessary to me when Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released. I'd really rather see something new.

Gimme sequel please.

I loved Sunshine. I loved how different it was from the other Mario Games. It's the only one I want to play over and over again. The game was beautiful and I can feel like I'm sitting on a beach in the warm sun as I play, no matter what season it is. No other Mario game gets me into the setting like that!

It's my favorite Mario game, but honestly, if it didn't happen on Wii, I doubt we'll ever see a sequel. The Wiimote was built to be Fludd. Wasted opportunity right there.

If they did release it, I would imagine it would come out on WiiU along with Luigi on 3DS. Both were the hidden spot lights of the bros. I personally think the chances of a sequel are low because why do something risky when you can make another billion dollars off of a long living popular series as Iwata always says.

It would ruin the series if they released a sequel. It doesn't require one, either. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was spectacular, but nothing all too special. We just need to see something new.

Personally I really liked super mario sunshine but like bacon boy said, we need something new, not a sequel.

NEVER FORGET

Seriously though, I'd love a Sunshine sequel. On the other hand, I want EAD Tokyo to blow my mind like Galaxy did. Give me something entirely new that I would never expect.

I'd love a Sunshine sequel, but oh my god the FLUDD needs to go. I did not enjoy that aspect of the game. It was just so clunky and it was a pain to do everything. I know a lot of people love the game, but I was not one of them. Although, I did like the theme of the game A LOT.

That level annoyed my dad a lot. I completed it after an estimated guess of 165 tries. But now it's easy to beat.

Freaking Sandbird!

You know, as much as I love this game, it's probably the Mario game that I'm the worst at playing. I've never once gotten enough shine sprites to get into the volcano.

And yet I'd still play the life out of a sequel.

If you take out the FLUDD you don't have a sequel to Super Mario Sunshine.

I watched my brother play through Corona Mountain. That looked so freaking difficult. I can't imagine how many times I'm going to lose lives when I finally play through it myself!
