Nintendo of America just annouced today that they'll be releasing the 25th Anniversary Mario DSi XL Bundle to the US for those who have been waiting for it to come over to US Shores. The bundle comes packaged with a copy of MKDS and 3 pre-installed DSiWare(2 Brain Age Titles and the lame Photo Clock :X ).

Here's a picture of this bundle: <div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">

This bundle reminds me of the Hot Rod Red DS Bundle back in the day...</div>

if this had come out before the 3ds was announced, say, in place of the ds lite or dsi, i would have bought this up so fast.

now, i don't see much point.. since MKDS is old as balls, and the games included aren't too great of an incentive.. since a 3ds is much more appealing for the price.

but hey. i guess it's a collector's thing, eh?

To be honest, it'd make more sense to:

Release it with NEW Super Mario Bros DS instead of MK:DS
Have Mario DSiWare like Doctor Mario, Mario Clock, Mario v Donkey Kong, things like that instead of Brain Age

But that's just me.

You forgot the wii version as well.
However, like I said before, Japan gets better stuff than us; I'd rather take the Super Mario All-Stars Wii with the bonus stuff than paying $200 for a new system that's red.

to be fair, the wii motion plus being built in is a nice addition, if nothing else.

could be more, but eh. cool that it all fits in a regular remote.

And it's not $200, it may suck and be Nyko, but it's cheeper. If Nintendo would do that with all controllers now, that'd be great. But most WiiMotion+ required games include WiiMotion+ anyways.

This, why'd they pick Mario Kart? o_O

It looks pretty cool! I'm guessing people who haven't got a DSi yet and don't know about the 3DS will be really tempted to buy it.

yeah, but nonetheless it's nice that they did that.

as for nyko's controller, i'm not spending my money on that. $25 or not.

regular game controllers, sure. the wii remote/wireless controllers are a bit different. in my experience they're terribly fickle, and the first-party/official ones are usually the best/easiest/most reliable.

but eh. not a bad deal if you take off all name tags.

I actually learned about the red Wii not long after I made this topic but, I forgot to post it. LOL

It's in Australia now, but I don't know why someone would buy it...

Not a bad deal but I would save my money for a 3DS or something.
