Sturgeon Farming (10k bells each fish) On Your Own Island

yo so i wouldnt personally do this but a youtuber I watch uploaded this. If you have terraforming then this will work.

basically:

Get rid of all bodies of water (rivers, waterfalls, etc) in your town. Leave river mouths.

I figured something like this would be in the game, the way fish and insect spawn in Animal Crossing is very exploitable if you know how they work.

Not personally going to abuse it to this extent myself, but I had some ideas to make some use of these spawning mechanics on my island, while keeping the aesthetic.

If I had another game, as I already own two switches, I’d definitely do this for my other characters in my island. But never my main character.

I have already completely removed my river via terraforming as I have plans to completely reshape it so I might give this a try

The only thing I did was plant a flower field in the same spot so all bugs spawn there.

I discovered this by accident yesterday when I unlocked terraforming. I wanted a clean slate to build my island the way I want so I tore down all the cliffs and filled in the rivers. I haven’t rebuilt a river yet so Kholusia is “sturgeon island” until I do.

Bumping this for visibility cos it’s kinda crazy how many sturgeon I’ve caught.
