So, since I'm super pessimistic about AC Switch and don't plan on getting it atm, I'm conidering rebooting my two New Leaf towns after a big hiatus from it. One of my towns will try to be a recreation of my oldest town, which I've never quite been able to rekindle the flame of since I deleted it. Like, I was really into that thing lol. It'll have all of the octopuses, all of the Splatoon villagers, and a few villagers that I want to try out. However, for my second town, this is where I'm stuck. One part of me wants to create a town full of unpopular, rarely used villagers that I've started calling "misfits." Another part of me wants to make a farm-themed town that features two cows, two chickens, two goats, two pigs, and two sheep. I already have villagers picked out for both of them, I just need help deciding!

For my misfit town (that I've started to call "Misfitia"), I had two conditions: 1) the villager had to be unpopular and rarely used in people's towns, and 2) I had to personally like the villager as to not make myself miserable in the process of creating this town. So, I have
-Patty
-Canberra
-Broccolo
-Jambette
-Opal
-Peewee
-Mott
-Hippeux
-Leopold

For my farm town (that I've started to call "Farmhaus"), I picked villagers that I liked from the cows, chickens, goats, pigs, and sheep. Let me tell you, picking for this town made me realize how much I love the cows and dislike the sheep. For this town, I have:
-Cows: Patty and Coach
-Chickens: Ken and Broffina
-Goats: Gruff and Nan
-Pigs: Agnes and Hugh
-Sheep: Pietro and Etoile
Really the only villager that I don't like out of these is Pietro, but I wanted a male and a female of each species and imo Curlos is even worse. If it's a problem for me, I might break my rule and use someone like Muffy or Stella, or even use only one sheep and just use Shep since most farmers have dogs.

If people could give their opinion of what town they'd rather see, just lmk! Also, no matter which town I choose, I'll be cycling for all of the villagers since I can't really afford to get them from other people. If someone would be willing to help a sister out in holding villagers for me or getting some for me, that'd be great!

I feel like with a central theme, like your farm-inspired town, you can go a long way whilst still sticking to your roots!! It's a theme that would work great in acnl, in my opinion, with fields of fruit trees and a barn as your player's house :)
While the idea of a town full of 'misfits' is cool by itself, it feels like it's missing a central theme of its own, as you don't really have much to work with other than the villagers themselves.
Just my two cents ^.^

Yeah, thanks for the advice! I do seem to like the farm idea more. I'm also starting to think about using horses instead of sheep since I don't care for the sheep that much. If I were to use horses, I'd probably use Papi and Victoria.

If you are not planning a theme for the town of "misfits" (other than using unpopular villagers) I think it'd be nicer to create a farm centered town! And for Pietro, if you dislike him a lot, using Shep as a substitute sounds really good.

I also realized upon booting up Noche, my old town, again that I love it way too much and can't delete it for the life of me. Noche already has two sheep, Muffy and Etoile, so to cease repeating sheep I'll probably go with horses!

curlos and sheep are awesome u wanna fite me??

personally, definitely farm town as for my opinion. i like the idea and villagers better imo than just using unpopulars even if u like them.

Honestly I think I agree with y'all here. I think I'm just gonna go ahead and make my farm-themed town. I still like the name Farmhaus since it has that degree of edginess to it, now I just need some good clothes QR codes that isn't super "country gurl"

I currently have Nan in Noche and want to move someone else in. If someone could hold Nan for me and let me transfer her, I'd love that!

While you're waiting on the sewing machine to unlock, the overall dress is a good non-QR outfit for a farmer look.

I currently found a great setup! It has Patty and Papi, two of my "dreamies"! I'll have to admit the map is kinda cruddy though, but I can work with it.

If I may suggest some home interior items:

- western fence
- Rooster of Barcelos
- Dala horse
- rice bales
- pile of leaves
- storefront
- tumbleweed
- watering trough
- sparrow's nest
- hearth
- fireplace
- cabin series (it can be refurbished two different ways as far as the wood color goes)
- sunrise lamp
- omelet
- pancakes

I like the farm idea. I was actually going to do a similar idea but it never took off. The misfit one is nice but unless you have more ideas or more of he idea established, I think it will be easier in the long run for you to do the farm idea :).

I love the farm idea! With a more solid theme you can plan out a town better, as apposed to the misfit one which is sort of vague, imo.

The farm house idea would be really cute. You could lay down PWP's and patterns to make barn buildings, fields, etc.
