I've been working on getting my villagers relocated since I decided to reset my original town. I only have two left, Hamphrey and Stitches, but Gruff and Drift will. Not. LEAVE.

All of my perma-villagers have pinged to move at least twice.

I make sure to talk to everyone every day, but I can't get rid of them. It's getting REALLY frustrating.

Anyone else have/had issues with those certain villagers that just won't leave?

Tips and advice are much appreciated. ^_^

Ugh I know exactly what you mean. I have three unwanted villagers (one I got from streetpass, one from my boyfriend's town, and one I got from someone when I sold my villager to someone) that just will not ping or want to move. I've had a lot of my dreamies ask, but for some reason those three won't leave! The only thing I can think of is just even talk to the unwanted villagers every day too. Since a lot of your favorites ask to move, if you get close to the unwanted ones, they'll eventually leave.

No i'm sorry, I don't think I've ever really had this issue, always try the ping trick, but before you do that, talk to your villager about 3 times, skip a day, talk 1 time, skip two days, by then they should want to move out BUT it's no guarantee, if isabelle doesn't tell you that the village wants to move, try to do the ping trick and ping them, if you don't know the ping trick you should search it, it's great for pwps as well, trick is to have no money, no items no NOTHING on you. Hope this helps somewhat.

I went through this with Eunice and Astrid. Eunice was in my town for almost a year when I got her to move, and that entire time she didn't ask to leave once. It wasn't until Astrid moved in that she decided to move out. And then Astrid stuck around for months. I just got rid of her last week. I'm so glad they're gone. They made me so frustrated!

O'hare! He's been in my town for months, I think he has a crush on my player..He wanted to move out once, but changed his mind. >_<Let me make the songs for the people, Songs for the old and young; Songs to stir like a battle-cry Wherever they are sung. Not for the clashing of sabres, For carnage nor for strife; But songs to thrill the hearts of men With more abundant life. Let me make the songs for the weary, Amid life’s fever and fret, Till hearts shall relax their tension, And careworn brows forget. Let me sing for little children, Before their footsteps stray, Sweet anthems of love and duty, To float o’er life’s highway. I would sing for the poor and aged, When shadows dim their sight; Of the bright and restful mansions, Where there shall be no night. Our world, so worn and weary, Needs music, pure and strong, To hush the jangle and discord Of sorrow, pain, and wrong. Music to soothe all its sorrow, Till war and crime shall cease; And the hearts of men grown tender Girdle the world with peace.

I have not had issues like that in all my cycling days and getting my dreamies. For two of my cat towns I was able to get all the non cats out within 2 weeks. I just built up the friendship level just enough to where it was cool and then I would ignore them for a day, then talk then ignore them more. Eventually they pinged to move without any issues except one wanted to change their minds.

When that happens you have to quit your game without saving. Then reload they will try to ping you again but you ignore the ping and remember what day they had said they were going to move(from the first time they pinged). Then just time travel to that date and then they are in boxes.

Hope it helps some. I also do this method of getting them out. I go from the present day and time travel two days forward. Check for pings like 4-6 times by saving and quieting and reloading then checking. it IS time consuming but fast to get them out. If there are no pings on that second day then I move one more day and usually on that day there is a ping. And I have not had to search too hard for them because when I start walking around to check they usually come up to me pretty fast. Once I have that moving date I will time travel to that date and adopt them out. For free.(I don't do it now as i have all my dreamies now). I then travel back to present day and repeat that whole method. It has never failed me.

I also keep a log of pings and who has pinged and how many days I have time traveled and so on. I was very involved in cycling in my town. I just knew when a ping was going to happen through my log. I have not had any issues doing it this way. Yes it is very involved but helps.

if one of them is your 10th villager, the chances of them moving out is near to impossibility. make any non 10th villager move then they will start to move. and heres the method i use when i wanna TT a villager out. not sure whether the other posters have shared this as i dont read.

1) run around town to get pings. if one of your fav villagers ping you to move, deny it.
2) TT 6 days forward
3) Then TT 6 days backward. back to the present time.
4) repeat step 1

if you done step 4 and you get another moving request from one of your fave villagers, then repeat step 1. do this until the villager you want to move pings you.
