How likely is it these days for ACNL players in America to come across each other and get each other's Happy Home Showcase houses?

Ah, what a bummer. It also sucks that there's no other way (other than Spotpass) to get houses in the Showcase.

I used to get a couple last year in college and got one at Home Depot. I believe Home Depot had a spot pass there.

Oh man it's been FOREVER since I've gotten a streetpass that wasn't me. I used to get a few, like 1-3 at Barnes and Noble do to it being a Nintendo Zone, but those were still rare.

I remember my mom and my sisters and me were driving home from six flags and I had my 3ds open and it showed a green like and I realize the car next to us had a kid with her 3ds open and we met each other in streetpass while driving on the road.
I also remember meeting another stranger in streetpass, but I don't remember where but I still have his mii in my mii plaza. But that's it and so it is rare meeting a stranger on streetpass.

Also most of the time I just meet my sisters in streetpass because we all live in the same house.

I think the last time I got a streetpass was like a month ago while I was out doing some grocery shopping. I still have the showcases from like 3-4 years ago.

I only get a streetpass with my mom whenever she plays with me, but I did get a steetpass a few weeks ago at the grocery store, but it wasn't New Leaf.

I don't live in America, but I've never really used the Streetpass function since I don't really want to be carrying my 3ds around with me incase it gets stolen or broken ;-; I've only ever Streetpassed my friends irl and I think once I was playing in the car and I got someone then, but apart from that, I've never used it ^_^

There was a fan expo a couple months ago from where I live. I got to go there and I'm honestly surprised that I actually got to max out my streetpass count to 10. Out of all of them, only like three people had New Leaf. Other than that though, it's been a desert in the last year.

I went to Manhattan, NYC around Times Square and I couldn't believe how many times I had to keep clearing my gate to allow more street passing.
I have so many homes displayed in my showcase, only a few little empty spaces remain and I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with going to NYC and just 2 video game conventions in the past

I was getting a lot of streetpasses from the mall when the game was released.
2 years ago I found that I was only tagging myself after shopping for a long time.
One summer I started getting a tag from the same person while inside my house. Every 8 hours or so I tagged my 3DS and got a tag from the same person. Think the person lived next to me or close. They might have had streetpass set up in their house.
With the help of that person I got streetpass gold badge for my main town.

There used to be streetpass relay points set up at fast food places, starbucks, and Best Buy. Not sure if they still have those set up. Used to be that is how you got things like the aries rocking chair or sunrise lamp.

Very unlikely, at least for me. I've played New Leaf since it came out and had the same town for about just as long, and I've gotten maybe like five streetpasses for New Leaf, if even that. And I used to take my 3ds everywhere.

Most of the street passes I got were at an Anime convention I went to over the summer. I get one every now and again if I have my gameboy on my campus but it's still really rare.
Although I have been passing this same other girl on and off all this semester. I have no clue who she is and haven't had any luck figuring it out.
Unless you live in a city and go to busy places it's nearly impossible to get passes anymore.

i live in the uk and i used to bring my 3ds out a lot. i live in a decently busy city but i didnt get any passes for years for any game really

I never get streetpasses today which is sad.

The last time i remember getting streetpasses was when i visited Germany 2 years ago lmao, even that was only 2 people.
