Streetpass Badge...

I've heard conventions are a good way as well. You don't even have to attend them, there is someone on here who just drove to the building, walked around the outside, and came home with 30.

I get most of my streetpasses on public transportation (in my case, streetcars and the subway). Even if it's not very crowded, I can usually pick up one or two each time.

My advice is just to keep on taking your 3DS everywhere you go. Over time, even just getting one or two streetpasses every once in a while will start to add up.

I don't have the streetpass badge yet either (not even bronze), but I'm holding out hope. It's just going to be a gradual process.

I've already given up on the Silver and Gold StreetPass badges. In my 2 years of owning a 3DS, I've streetpassed less than 10 individual players in my hometown, even though I keep my DS with me most of the time. I think none of them played ACNL anyway. I rarely go to cities where I'd get more StreetPasses and I'm not going to change that just to get them, lol.

My only advice is to go to conventions. That's how I've gotten nearly all of my Streetpasses. I guess I would have obtained the Bronze badge by now if I didn't always reset.

I live within commuting distance of London UK, tho I don't go there very often.

Where I get streetpasses (currently): - my local town shopping Mall advertises free wifi - and it acts as a relay point for Nintendo so I can pick up 10 there (not many if any are now playing acnl tho).
Most Game shops also have a wifi connection and act as a relay point for streetpasses.

And that is about it. When the 3ds first came out in 2011 there was a lot more activity.
Currently I get hardly any acnl streetpasses, when the game first came out in 2013, I could get as many as 16 (acnl will hold up to 20 before you have to clear) - 6 show in HH plaza and the remainder will be by their houses.

I was in London a few months ago, walking around, incl areas like Picadilly (lots of tourists) and still did not get any acnl streetpasses. Got the 10 in Mii plaza - but I had a feeling they were from a Starbucks stop off! (ie it had free wifi & acted as a relay point).
Airports can surprisingly be quite barren for streetpassing.

Conventions are brilliant - comic con - whatever.
Dundee may host streetpass events - my local town does, its small not a city, yet still holds them.

I'm an adult, but even if I was at school, the schools around my area all ban handhelds being taken to school.
Dundee is a University town - there is nothing to stop you going around the campus area in the hope of catching a few.
I presume you would not get into buildings (eg students union), you don't need to, just being around outside would work.

Dundee's streetpass community seems to be university based -

That sucks that the activity has died down. :/

I'm too lazy for conventions and such, lol. Going to try leaving the Nintendo Zone thing running on my computer tonight and see what happens as it's already set up but won't connect whilst I'm playing online, perhaps not with my hub assigned to the DS at all.

I'm curious as to the "no handhelds" rule at your local schools seeing as they've sort of died out anyway these days and it's all about phones. I bet no staff would notice if you smuggled one into your bag for streetpasses anyway as they can't go raiding your bags and would be unlikely to go streetpassing the pupils, lol.

That's interesting about the streetpass events though but everything in the UK seems to be in England. Dundee... eh, maybe HMV has some streetpassers.

Yeah as Quill said schools and colleges are really good for this, when I went to my friend's college with her for not even a few hours and I got like 12 passes which was nice. When I went to San Fran and walked around town all day and then went to a WTNV live show I got like 30+ that day which was really cool too.

if you are a tech person, i know theres a way to make your wireless router a nintendo zone, so you get streetpasses in your own house. google it.

also if you ever go to an anime/gaming/nerd convention - you'll get a lot there.

Ugh, just can't get it to work with either my laptop's internal WiFi or a dongle - the 3DS just won't recognise that there's a Nintendo Zone despite changing the SSID and some other stuff. Then again, my phone sees nothing either so perhaps the hotspot just isn't working at all for some reason. :/

I find I streetpass quite often after 3 pm at the grocery and Target. The kids have gotten out of school, lol.

No ;_;
I get like 2-4 streetpasses when i go to this park but its only from ORAS/MK7/SM3DL...
In this mall i get like 5 but still from the same games...
Considering ACNL is not famous here in Mexico, it will be a looooong adventure to atleast get the bronze badge ;_;

I can almost guarantee you I could go to the local park and not get a single streetpass so at least you're getting something. :P

I was playing Animal Crossing in my college and I actually got 2 streetpasses! I was amazed.

ha that's cool though. i totally wish 3ds was more 'in' here but yeah it's basically if you are lucky in the afternoons or walk past game/multimedia stores..

I haven't even gotten to Bronze yet, in any of my towns. The standards are WAY too high.
