A day ago, I was showing my friends New Leaf and saying how it would be funny if one of my teachers had New Leaf.

So I got to my geologist class with my 3DS in my pocket in sleep mode. (Just if anyone cares, he's one of my favourite teachers)

We went through our class and my friends went out for free period. We got to the library to relax.

When I opened my 3ds to check Animal Crossing, I noticed a large green blinking dot. I was wondering who had street passed me, since most people didn't like Animal Crossing in my school. I checked who it was and saw a Mii that looked kind of like my geologist teacher. I showed my friends and they laughed. During the entire day, I was suspicious about it...

The next day, which is today, I asked my geologist teacher if he owned a 3DS. "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"Do you play Animal Crossing?"
"Yes, why?"
"...Did you street pass me yesterday?"

He looked at me and he began laughing.
"That was you?! Awesome!!!"

It was an awesome discovery! Sadly, he doesn't really enjoy Animal Crossing, but that won't stop me from enjoying this funny little discovery At all!

Question: Have you found out your teachers play Animal Crossing?

I'm homeschooled, but most of my family members play animal crossing :3

Wow, that's insane and very cool!

Until a little before New Leaf came out, I didn't realize how many people at my high school love and play Animal Crossing. I went to a high school that consisted of video game and computer junkies by the way. In government class, me and a couple of my peers were talking about events that were coming up that we couldn't wait for. I told them that I can't wait for "June 9th" but I wasn't planning on telling them why and then someone in the group looked at me with wide eyes and asked, "Wait... you're talking about Animal Crossing, right?" The other people in the group were surprised because they found out that the majority of us had played Animal Crossing and have been waiting for New Leaf. I found it sort of crazy and I heard other people in class starting to have conversations about the game. As a kid playing the GC version, I had felt like that I was the only kid out of everyone I knew who had played it. It still shocks me today that so many people who went to my high school used to play or are still playing.

Not exactly a teacher, but a girl that goes to the same college as me. She's also in the anime club I attend, so I guess I know her quite well to approach her about that one time we streetpassed. She has New Leaf too! (:

Similar thing happened with me. That's why I now know everyone who has a 3DS om the Anime Club in my school. xD
And then all of us freak out when we StreetPass someone who we don't know at school. xD

I'm a teacher (I teach English in a junior high school in France) and I've always played video games... It's not that surprising or unusual. Teachers are people with lives, passions, hobbies like everyone else. ;-)

Haha, I wish...
All my teachers are doctors. And the other students are DEFINITELY not into video games.

I don't really mind but it would be fun to have someone else to play with at college.

I kinda know this feel. Except, it was at high school. And it was at the end of the year.

Me and by best friend were playing our 3ds while walking to our next class (keep in mind half of the classes are empty) and I noticed I got a streetpass. After checking it, I told my friend that I got someone's streetpass. Some guy was like, "You have a 3ds too?" or something like that. Hehe.

I haven't streetpassed anyone yet... Granted that whenever I go out its usually to places like bars so I doubt that anyone will have a 3DS there.... except for me LOL. But I'm looking forward to this new semester of university, hoping to streetpass some people there!

In other news, a few weeks ago I was sleeping over at a friend's house and I brought my 3DS because sometimes she just starts texting her boyfriend for hours and I get a little bored. So while she was texting her boyfriend I played some ACNL, she asked me to explain the game to her, but she thought that it was childish. While I was there, she also told me that her uncle was hiring some people to work with him at a clinic that he owns, but I had to turn down the offer because his clinic is almost an hour from my house and I wasn't willing to drive all the way over there for a temp job.

ANYWAY, I saw her a few days ago and she told me that she ended up taking the job that she had offered to me and that one of the doctors that works at the clinic plays ACNL during her free time!!! It made me wish that I had taken the job T__T

The majority of the streetpasses I've gotten were all gotten at an anime convention. I expected to get a lot of streetpasses there, but what I didn't expect was how few I've gotten in my hometown! I've only gotten three (not including all the SPs I've gotten from my boyfriend), and one of them I had to go out of my way to meetup with somebody I'd only gotten to know online. :C Perhaps if I was still in school I would get more streetpasses... -contemplates going back to college just to find people to play 3DS games with- XD

I really hope that streetpassing access points thing comes to fruition... It's just too hard to streetpass in the US (and Europe, from what I hear). :/

I don't dare take my 3DS to school because one of the boys in my class would probably smash it...
Thats what they did to my old phone :(
I do take it with me whenever I go out anywhere else (going shopping, etc) but I hav yet to get a single streetpass...
I guess no one near my likes AC

CreeperHugz: I can relate to not wanting to tote your 3DS to school! I had both my gameboy color and my gameboy advance SP stolen from right under my nose while I was still in grade school. :C My parents said no more gameboy consoles for me after the gba SP incident! T-T I showed them, though, when I took my DSi that they gave me as a graduation present and sold it while I was away at college HAHAHA!!!

Lesson learned: Bring your 3Ds to school in your backpack, and hang it in your locker. I did that all last year and I got a bunch of StreetPasses. I StreetPassed someone in my class 9 times. xD
