For the second time in two weeks I have been f****d over by random villagers moving in via street pass when I have someone lined up to give me a villager in boxes. I hate that feature does anyone else have my anger?!

I like it, all my tenth villagers have come from streetpass/void.
Would be annoying if you have dreamies and such that you need to get though.

Yeah, everyone i know had at least one horrible experience like that. In my case it was Puck on top of all my perfect trees. I never ever streetpass or wifi visit when I have space because of that.

I also had a random move in through streetpass, but at least I didn't have a villager ready for me. It really drove me crazy because I didn't want a new villager, and it nearly took me a whole week to get him out again.

I try to stay at 10 villagers because of this, it's a goddamn nightmare. It's literally the stupidest feature they could've put in. No, I lied, they put in a LOT of stupid features, but this one really takes the cake. It reduces me into more of a paranoid mess than usual.

If you hate it I'm pretty sure you can turn it off. ><

You can't turn the Wifi version off unless you literally never ever trade with anyone ever.

I like the streetpass feature it is neat and creative and it makes it more real-worldy with them moving to a near by town.
If you don't like it, turn it off when you go out.

I do dislike the wifi-pool though, but still the same concept. But, since I have two towns, if I have a spot open and they have voided a villager, I have them first visit my cycle town and then my main town. My cycle town will get the villager and I won't. Has worked so far.

I think it's a good feature for those who aren't trying to get their dreamies - how cool is it to share the same villager with someone else! I get excited. However, it is a real pain if you were planning on another villager

It's a cute idea in theory but to the community engaged group of players, it's just horribly troublesome. I hope nobody cancels out Julian's move in oh man.

If you have asked a villager to move in they take priority.
You shouldn't have any problem if you invited them unless you invite another villager to move in before he does.

But I think the way you describe it is the most accurate...
Cute idea ... but if you are part of a community, like TBT tehehe, it can really be troublesome the voids you get.

Whenever I'm at 9 I stay on the same day the last villager moved out o.o That way I never get random streetpasses v_v;

I avoid this problem by always resetting the time on my game to the same day over and over and over again never actually progressing a day until I've found or invited the villager I want to complete the 10th spot.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. It sucks big time.

I actually don't mind the random street pass move ins. It makes it feel more like a real world town (in my opinion). And if it wasn't for those move ins, I wouldn't have gotten one of my favorite villagers: Beardo.

I'm pretty sure you can disable Streetpass for ACNL in your settings? And your Wi-Fi, too, if needed. My Streetpass is always off, while I only disable Wi-Fi when I fall to 9 villagers. I turn into a recluse.

Tbh I almost want it to happen to me, as long as I had another villager I wanted to move out. I'm curious to see who people have let move away. If actually picked-up a voided villager, I'd probably end up getting really annoyed. :P
