Strategy Elite Item-Matching tour

I'm really struggling with this tour. I only get 3 medals or I get none. What is the best strategy for this tour?

I struggle too I'd say run like heck and when you see two of the same item bury the one you're currently carrying and match those and try and remember where things are....this one really can be hard

There's less items per person if you have 4 people playing together. So that generally helps.
And that way you've 4 minds to remember where things are. ~ which if you're together / skyping means you can all help each other.

yeah this one is just better played with multiple peeps...plus you get bonus medals when playing with others depending on how well you did

Yeah I can't do this one alone. I have a friend who's literally pro at this because I think it's his favorite mini game.

I have a great memory, but it also helps to have some scratch paper you can scribble notes on. Make it simple, like classic buffet would be CB, etc.

I have tried drawing a reference map and labelling each dig spot, but I still run out of time. I think it's true that this tour is done best with at least one other peep!
