Stopping a move and wanting to TT back a 30 minutes in the same day?

Is it save to TT back a 30 minutes after you stopped a villager from moving?
I was rushing to the order items so I could TT back to just before 5pm. A villager asked to move.
Stopped him and than ordered and TT back about to get the items.
Has the move been stopped?

If you saved your game after telling the villager to stay, then yes you are safe.

It should be fine, I also believe that animals will ask to move once each day before they move, so you'd have more chances anyway.

Thanks so much. I did save before tting back for mail. Mayor needed to order items for the other players to catalog. Something that I should have been doing as I got items. Now it's a pain.
