Stationary/paper not showing up in catalogue

I'm using a checklist to keep track of which items I've added to my catalogue. The checklist I'm using has some stationary like academy paper and halloween paper in it's list, but I just got a halloween letter and it's not showing up in my catalogue.

On gamefaqs I've found a threat that says an update removed the unorderables from the stationary catalogue.

Is there a definitive list of stationary that will show up in the catalogue, or a list of stationary that got removed? I'd like to update my checklist with it.

Stationary I'm missing:

Academy paper
Card paper
Elegant paper (I'm pretty sure this should be obtainable)
Gallery paper
Halloween paper
Museum paper
Snowman paper

If anyone got any of these listed apart from elegant paper, I will try harder. Otherwise, I'm deleting them from my 100% list!

Some stationary can only be obtained by letter gifts from villagers.

You can check this list on moridb. Tbh I don’t really keep track of stationary so I don’t know about the cataloguing but I assume you can catalogue whatever is listed there. It says Halloween paper can be obtained through villagers as well. Maybe a villager needs to send you for it to get catalogued? (Not a special NPC?) This list may be pre-update though.

Does any of you have the halloween paper in your catalogue? I got a letter with a mask from Jack on this paper and it's not showing up in my catalogue. I know this would've been enough in previous AC games, and I'm not sure if villagers are able to send letters on halloween paper?

The Card Paper and Elegant Paper should be easily acquired from Tommy & Timmy Nook's shop, just need to have it show up first. Alternatively you can probably find someone selling it in the Re-Tail section of the forum.

From the looks of it though, all of the other ones necessitate that the villagers send you a letter with stationery as a present and you acquire it that way. It also appears as though even if you acquire it this way, they won't show up in the catalogue, so you'd probably be better off removing them from your list. I can't 100% confirm this since I've never received any of them from a villager, but someone else might be able to confirm or deny. I've also seen shops in the Re-Tail section sell some of them, so you might be able to test it that way.

Academy paper used to be just regular stationary that you can buy from Timmy & Tommy's shop. Gallery/Snowman/Museum/Halloween papers used to be stationary that you can only obtain through letter from your villagers quite rarely. However, Nintendo changed the academy paper to unorderable paper, and removed those 5 papers from the game itself when amiibo update. So now the only way to get them is through hack, unless you've obtained them already before update through legitimately playing. None of them show up in your catalog now.
Also there are Campground paper or Nintendo paper in said MoriDB as well that's shown as rare stationary, but they're only obtainable through hack.

This is some off-track but I still have the academy papers, if you want one, though it doesn't show up in your catalog.
