I recently reset my town, I had gotten bored and wanted something fresh. In the past when I reset and was hoping for Pietro at the start, I realized that you could not get Smug or Uchis first thing in game.
But... can you get an octopus in your town as your starting 5?
Having an octopus as a starter in a new ACNL town is kind of a controversial subject on these boards.A lot of people claim that they've had one of the octopuses as part of a starting five but they've never produced any visual evidence like a screenshot of a tree planting ceremony.It does make sense that you could get an octopus even though there's only three of them available when you start a new town.There are only three cows available and they can be part of a starting five.I'm not trying to call anybody out but I've done a lot of resetting since the game came out five years ago and I've never had an octopus as part of a starting five but you can get them later as a random move-in like the uchis and smugs.
I have reset many, many, MANY times since I have so many towns and have never gotten an octopus as a starter. Not saying it's not possible, but I've never experienced it and have reset a lot. I know my first octopus was Octavian, but I am fuzzy as to the details. Pretty sure he was in my campsite. I know that's how I got Zucker and Marina as well.
ive never gotten an octopus as my starting villager, but im sure that you can get one as a starting villager though. i guess it just depends on luck and things like that?
