i'm starting to reach the point where i pretty much only get on to check shops and nookstop, then log off. i think it has to do with how little there is to do right now in the game.
it makes me sad cuz i've been playing new leaf much more and get more out of it than new horizons.
dialogue gets exhausted so fast it's honestly baffling.
anyone else feel this way?

I'm in this routine of, check mail, check shops for things to buy for villagers, go around giving everyone gifts (In hopes of getting photo's!) , do a bunch of item sales/trades on nookazon, and now that the month has changed, catch the new bugs and fish for the museum.
But i have'nt done the new wedding thing at harv's yet so, hoping that keeps me amused for 5 minutes lol.

But, i'm HaPPY ENOUGH with my island layout (Without goign to the extreme of hugely altering it with terraforming) so theres not much to do there, I really like my current villagers, and so, yea, theres not MUCH to do atm?

I do my "Dailys" and sales, and then log :P

i’m slowly getting there and i’ve also been a bit depressive lately so even just booting up the game to do my daily chores feels like a grind. there’s still things for me to do and goals to achieve but i feel like i’m sometimes burning myself out - with all the trades i do and the expectations i put on myself, the game has lowkey started to feel like another obligation and that makes me not want to play a bit. but still, it’s a new month and new things are happening and there’s been talk of another big update happening next month so hopefully the game will have some more excitement in the future ^^

Same... I think maybe I spent too much time on it when it was supposed to be more of a 'casual' game. I've got all my favourite villagers, am happy enough with my island layout and have most things I want on the catalogue. My daily routine consists of chatting to my islanders, gifting them stuff (although I've gotten their photos already), and fishing a bit if I feel like it.

I picked a theme for my town that allows me to continuosly update it so that i’ll never get bored because I’ll always be updating different areas of my island c:

I was feeling the same! at most I would check the shops and do the little dailies. I think with the amount of time we have to play at the moment a lot of people have burnt themselves out. the new wedding stuff has helped me, and I think just finding small areas of the island to work on at a time helps me to feel like I'm getting some progress.

Not that I’ve grown bored with it but I too sort of just stick to a routine, lately. Log in, check for hybrids, give gifts to villagers to get their photos (3/10 so far!) go shopping and, if I wanna find some bug or fish that’s still missing in my critterpedia, I might spend some time looking for it but, other than that, I’ll log off for the day.

That’s sort of the point, though, Animal Crossing is a game you check up on. I feel like even the way the intro is made is sort of designed to lock progress to a day to day mechanic and kinda force the player to get used to the idea of only playing a few hours a day. I think it’s fine, especially knowing that plenty of new stuff is in store for us thanks to changing seasons and stuff being added by Nintendo semi-regularly (and supposedly for 3 years after launch, even?)

yeah I'm pretty much in the "daily ac routine" mode now... check shops, mail, talk to villagers, check the daily visiter.
my island isn't fully developed, still have a 4 star, but I honestly get stressed when I try and develop things cause they never turn out how I want so I have to take that pretty slow so I don't get frustrated haha

I limit how much time I play the game because I like having things to do and I wouldn't want to be bored with it. Now it's been an endless cycle of things I have to do such as terraforming and changing the location of buildings.
