Starting again after the update... confused!

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it addressed here.

Does plot resetting still work? And if not what happened to change it? is there a different way to get villagers to move where you want?

Does using Amiibo cards to move villagers in bypass the usual cycling rule?

I've been away for quite a while and now it's very confusing, Thank you! ^^

Plot resetting still works but it's harder to get villagers to move from the spot they first pick. Villagers now don't move on paths/patterns so you can put them around town in placed you don't want villagers to plot. You have to have a 3x3 space available for a villager to plot.

Villagers could move on paths. There isn't that much of a difference now.

And yes, scanning villages in with amiibos bypasses the 16-villager cycle.
