The secret mods would have to be dark green (the same color as John, Andy, Me, etc, are) members because they're the only ones that never change (that is, until you reach 30,000 posts or something). If they were light blue, and then, suddenly, dark green, they wouldn't be secret mods.

I think Jeremy said that you turn another color after you get the Bell Master (39001) rank.

But of course, no one's ever going to get that color.
