I just started my new town in New Leaf and two AWESOME things happened!!!!

First off, one of my fruit trees has a perfect fruit on it. And to make matters even better, one of my dream villagers...Kabuki...is one of my first villagers!!!! I'm so happy :3

Thanks. I just cleared the tutorial and paid off my loan (I got a cool 10.6 million bells for selling my old town to the ol' Nookster) to build my house, so starting tomorrow I'm taking the long, annoying trip called Getting 100 Percent Approval Rating. xD

Thanks. I'm just anxiously awaiting the time to pass to access the island. When I first got New Leaf back when it came out, that's how I maxed out my house so quickly.

Omg that's the best!! I got a perfect apple my first day too, and a dreamie (but after resetting like 30 times to get a dreamie LOL) lil miss coco has been in my town since day 1 :)

Good luck with your new town dude!! starting up a new town is super fun bc it's a clean slate but such a struggle lol

I mainly restarted due to my hatred of grass deterioration. The last time I played in my old town was about this time last year. So I had pretty much abandoned my town because I wasn't sure how often to take breaks between days of play and wanted to start fresh with a new town in hopes I can finally keep a town.

I tried playing Wild World to get my Animal Crossing fix, but since the game is so primitive compared to what New Leaf has to offer, I ended up playing a nonstop marathon session of Fire Emblem: Fates: Birthright instead x.x

Oh yeah, I love grass deterioration if it's in the right places like in paths. But before I got the QR machine and got my main paths laid down, I ran pretty randomly and it led to deterioration in dumb places lol but hopefully that'll go away with time :')

I had like a several year break on ACNL and my sister sold the town to tom nook to start her own town LOL so i bought a new copy a few weeks ago and have been starting a town up :)

Oh it goes away with time. The problem is if your town gets turned into a grass less desert, you'll have to wait til it grows back to do things in the winter like catch dung beetles and build snowmen. I tend to walk just about everywhere in my town trying to capture insects, do landscaping, catch fish, etc. So if I was able to put down walking paths, I'm still not sure there's places I would need to walk on off the paths to do things.

I figure if I can figure out the algorithm that tells me how long it takes grass to wear down and dirt to show, MAYBE, I can set up a play schedule to make sure I can play and still keep decently healthy grass. Or, after the winter is over, I'll just play all the time and eventually make my entire town set up with paths and grass patterns.

I honestly don't know lol. All I know is I love me some Animal Crossing and I go crazy at times wanting to play but being hesitant.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Wild World when it first came out. But seeing how much more you can do in New Leaf? I kinda wish this kinda stuff could have been implemented in Wild World. Not everything, as we would we need to save some features for future installments, but enough to bring a lot of more activities and features then are currently there.

As for not going on the cart? Don't be such a baby :P (Lol, sorry I saw your signature and I had to do it xD )

Mainly for fans.

I still love the title theme of Wild World more then I do the title theme of New Leaf.

Same. The only New Leaf songs I prefer to Wild World's soundtrack are 5 PM and 1 AM. I love the Population: Growing throwback of 5 PM. But there was something really homey and atmospheric about Wild World's soundtrack as a whole.

Wild World was my introduction to Animal Crossing. Got the game for my DS back in late 2007/early 2008.

Wild World makes a great starting point. I started with Population: Growing on the Gamecube, but the handheld systems make so much more sense for Animal Crossing.
