Spotpass HHA Houses?

I used to get homes via Spotpass in previous towns, but now I dont get ANY

And plus, does Nintendo Network Relay still work? I went to the Mall of America two weeks ago and I was super excited to see how many people I would get. I got like 9, but only 1 played ACNL.

Super rage, Please help
 
The game is over a year old. They're not sending out Spotpass houses anymore, to my knowledge. If so, it'll be very rare compared to when the game first launched. They have new games still making lots of money to put out content/DLC for, like Pokemon.

And not everyone plays AC. Very few people, compared to more popular Nintendo games.

I kinda guessed that they stopped the Streetpass updates, but they should have came up with another way to get houses. Maybe people who visit your towns through dreams?

Even so, I'm not even sure that the Relay points in America still work. I will get coffee later and see.

You also have to remember the 3DS is a 3 year old console. Not too many people carry it to get Spotpasses. Maybe a year or so ago you would have gotten a lot, but now people are buying newer consoles and the 3DS is only getting a few huge game releases compared to other consoles like the Wii U. People who don't play 3DS games regularly probably don't even think of taking it with them.

Also, I googled the relay points. It said nothing about that being stopped.
 
if you live anywhere or are planning to go somewhere where there's a con, that's the best chance for you to get streetpasses. ^^
 
I still get Spotpass when I go to hotspots like McDonald's. It's just that not many people are walking around with AC anymore. :( I went to an Anime Con in June and I got lots of Spotpass hits and new houses. It was great. *sighs*
 
streetpasses are hard to get. mcdonalds is a great place to get them though because they have nintendo zone. sometimes nintendo zones wont work at a certain mcdonalds, and then theyll start working again, the service is kind of spotty, it only works when it feels like it. but when they do work nintendo zone is great.
 
Yeah that's the one thing that makes me sad about resetting my town :/ All the houses I got via streetpass are gone and now I'm lucky if I get one. I guess that's just one of the cons of the game being over a year old.
 
I hardly ever get any spotpasses for AC just carrying my ds around.
I did fill up my entire HHA plaza with homes from a trip to Disneyland though.
 
i've had like 7 since i got the game ;_; to be fair though one of the houses was totally amazing and i managed to fill up a lot of my catalog with them (they had so many regional dlc's and balloons i want to meet them and thank them one day)

but STREETPASS on the other hand.. my HHA area is full of streetpass houses. I take my 3DS everywhere with me. Streetpass is nice too because it stays active even if the game is off/not in the cart area. I mean, i think the same is for Spotpass but I rarely see those anymore.
There was just a festival in my town and I maybe got like... 6 or 7 streepasses that day. The time before that there was a Nightvale show in Denver and I got like, 20, haha.

I take my 3DS out every now and again into my local town which compared to other towns in the country is actually rather small, but I'll sometimes get 1-5 streetpasses on a number of days. I think I had something come through spotpass the other day since there was a blue icon over the game's launch icon I couldn't work out how to see what it was though because even after checking my notifications it still stayed there...

Looking back at some of the posts, I'm not sure whether some people are getting Spotpass confused with Streetpass.
 
I had this problem for a while I had to move the game to a different slot in the activity log as the first slot doesn't register think I opened up one of the built in game things on the 3ds and activated streetpass and this moved animal crossing up a slot, I get Street passes just by leaving my consol on in my locker at work :)

I don''t understand why some people have this problem. I have never had this problem/ I do have a second 3ds and a second game card so I can always test to make sure my streetpass is working right now. I just normally don't touch that system settings data management because I don't want to risk messing anything up.
 
I thought that it was just the city I live in and the areas that I take my DS too that caused me to not get many spotpass houses but now it turns out it's getting even harder to get them no matter where you are in the world? Bah humbug!
 
I pretty much just streetpass for puzzle pieces now, but out of maybe 5 streetpasses I'll usually get at least one or 2 acnl, sometimes more. I guess I just live in a good area, though.

I once got 9 just walking down the street to a museum, but then sometimes I go somewhere I think I'll get a lot and I get none. It just depends.

Yeah I got one at a car wash Lol. But I have only ever gotten one at the local mall.
