Splatoon Splatoon General Discussion (HYPE THREAD)

30,000 Gold for a new slot or to re-roll a gear, or a Super Sea Snail.

Keeping in mind that if you get skills you don't like when you re-roll it you're gonna have to spend another 30,000/SSS to try again.

I think the best option is to try it on a set of 'spare gear' in case you get bad rolls, that way you can still use your 'good set' whilst you try for good skills on another.

I saw this who had like 3 defences as all his side effects

I think I have 3 defenses across two pieces of gear. It feels like an waste though, 3 doesn't seem to do much more than just having 1 :/

I only still have it because I don't have enough to re-roll it and I like that jacket :(

Which in the end results as only +1 defense lmao

If they lose value each time they're stacked I would assume it works out something like this:

+0 - 100% defense
+1 - 125% defense
+2 - 137% defense
+3 - 143% defense
etc. etc.

Not exact numbers, but you get what I mean. I would like to know the specific values for things though so I know when to stop stacking.

Since I've failed at it so many times, my bro killed the final boss for me.

....
He forgot the scroll, he's gonna go try and do it again. Rollers, here I come, one level away now.

HOW DOES A MAN FORGET THE SCROLL ON THAT LEVEL

The first time I did it I got it and then died. I went back to the checkpoint thinking I still had it :(

tbf, that's my usual strategy for turf wars. Get to the other teams base and be a nuisance and hope the rest of my team can handle the rest of the stage. And just hope I last long enough being a distraction for it to turn tides.

That's what I try to do. Unfortunately my team just doesn't get it. Once I get there the whole team will always super jump to me, leaving our base exposed. By the end we realise our bases have been taken over, and try to claim them back in the last few seconds. It always leads to a close match

The only good thing about the splattershot jr is the shield. I used one of the squiffers with the shield last night and I was doing amazing (in ranked) and this was on port makarel (which I HATE) which is pretty hard to use chargers on.

YA SHE IS
just walk over the bombs
just walk into the inkstrike
just walk into my shooting aim
oh you have a shield that stops everything and can also protect your close teammates who are also aiming at me

Nah, I have bonb sniffeer boots :] You should hide 'em better

Everyone seems to dominate with the Splattershot Jr and I DON'T KNOW HOW. It's got a good fire rate but the RANGE SUCKS ugh.

I actually found chargers to work really well with Port Mackerel, at least with how I was playing.

I just stay up top defending our base with it, running and jumping along all the crates when I need a better angle or to 'get the jump' on somebody. It worked well enough for me to hold our base on my own most of the time whilst the rest of the team rushed the other.

I also hate that scoped charger. It just feels so awkward to use.

I'm level 10 atm, I have yet to find a better weapon (maybe the aerospray, I get killed by that a lot)

Aerospray = OP as f***.

I pretty much stopped using the Jr once I tried the Aerospray.
