You know it. I just came out of a splat zone where one literally teleported across the field to the platform I was on and killed me and two teammates in like less than three seconds.

Nothing against Japs of course. Merely years of observing how incredible they are in Mario Kart.

Most reviews for it are in progress since the entire game isn't really out yet. Consider what we have right now 'early access'.


Aside from that, 8/10 is a still a good score. The only real problem is that reviewers give out 9's and 10's so liberally these days that anything less is considered a failure.

It's likely to do with the lack of content in general.

The base game at release had: 5 Maps, 30 ish weapons, and 1 mode, as well as a 27 level Single player. Plus, over half of the content has been locked (9 maps, x weapons, 3 modes). As an overall score once everything's release, it probably will deserve a much better score.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't know how much of the content wasn't released. Can't wait to see what else they have planned.

Ranked battles are much harder. O: Though I did get 14 kills in one match. (the only match of 4 I've won, because people don't understand you only want the middle section!)

I think this game is really underrated as far as reviews go. The best rating I saw for it was an 8/10 and the others ranged from a 7-8/10.

Those scores are honestly too good for Splatoon, it's at best a 5 or 6 right now. It's not worth the $60 spent and I really don't think Nintendo even knows how to properly do a MP shooter. It's a fun game, but 7 and 8 is too good.

Yeah, I managed okay with the rolller provided I got enough ink down to get the kraken ability. Then I tried the splattershot pro (I never use things beyond the roller) and discovered that it works better, but that I couldn't hit anyone for crap and gave up.
I also want to change side attack things too. I want a bomb with my kraken.

Safe to assume that the abilities are fixed for balanced reasons. I'd argue it's a good thing and should probably stay that way. Some abilities are simply way stronger than others, or would be way too strong in conjunction with the other.

The rooms fill up pretty quickly for me. The highest I've seen is a B

How is ranked battle? I won't be able to play it until Thursday, but it sounds like a challenge XD

I got to go on the game for a few minutes this morning to have the squid sisters tell me about the update and then I went to try the new weapon. In the testing area, it looks good.... but I like my Aerospray more. XD

It is definitely challenging! Its a great way to level up when you win though. Im pretty sure the max rewards is 2500* points which I have gotten a few times

I've only just hit C. And discovered that you no longer get +20 for winning! How on earth is anyone in B let alone B+? I've seen a B and a B- though

So I got to C-55, and now I'm conviced I'm in a group of 7 people trying to make me fail seeing as I seemed to continually be stuck with people shooting at walls depite being high levels. Lost 4 matches in a row due to this nonsense.


Also the best part of the update - New ink colours! 8D

Congrats! I saw someone using that roller and it looked sooo slow. Though it did fling ink everywhere I doubt anyone would sit around long enough to get hit?

I bought out all the weapons now. (and clothes and got 30k towards tomorrows stock already.) Though still need to do level 2 of the single player, and haven't opened my amiibo yet. xD This game is going to last me a while I feel.

They have a light green and light blue from what I've seen. I have finished single player and I am level 18 in multiplayer. I have been waiting for ever to get there and all of a sudden tonight my parents decide to restrict me :/

The Dynamo Rollers have a SUPER wide range, but are slow at rolling and flinging ink to make up for it. But the ink goes super far and is a 1 hit kill when flung. Forgot what the regular's sub and special were, but the gold one has (splat?) bombs as the sub and Inkstrike as the special. You get them from beating the final boss, and can buy the regular at level 15, gold at level 20. (So the gold one is kinda the ultimate weapon since you need to make the max requirements everywhere to get it.)

It's just a regular copy of the game, but I gave up waiting and bought it at Target Saturday.

I tried to beat that stage on Sunday, but I got wiped out because of the sniper at the sponges XD Me and him were in a tussle for the sponge size and I just kept falling off. XDDD
