And oh, no, I hope that Internet connectivity issue gets resolved soon. Nothing worse than losing points without getting a chance to contest the result.

Thanks, Aeryka! I'm going to practice on my alt account more before making my first run for that S. I got to A in one sitting (about two hours, then about 30 minutes to re-earn it after losing it once), and then A+ in one sitting (also about two hours). I am hoping I have the same good fortune trying to reach S, but would not be surprised if this proves much more challenging.

I tend to stick to splat zones, heh. Although I much prefer one zone maps, Blackbelly Skatepark is actually my favorite for splat zones.

If I get that S soon, I am hoping to start squadding.

It's so depressing, they let you get up until one or two matches till you rank up, then constantly put you on the crappy team. For the many hours I played trying to get to S the lowest it dropped me to was A+ 40, but that was because of a few disconnects.

I agree, splatzones is the best mode of the three. And blackbelly is my favourite map overall, it's got so many different things to do. I'm always happy to sqaud ;)

I don't mind splat zones, it was the only mode available at the time that got me to A- and splatzones at Rig was probably my strong point, so many easy ways to get kills. I'm not too much of a fan with two-zone maps because I have to count on my team even more to help get the box that I'm not controlling. (and if I leave mine to let someone else protect it, they end up losing it) But I kind of enjoy splat zones at Port Mackeral.

I just started getting back into splatoon after not playing for about a week, so I miss not seeing TC as an option when I am on d:

Good luck getting to S ^^ Using just the inkbrush is impressive!

Today I went from level 37 to 38 and I went from A- with 30 points to A+ with 30 points! I did a lot of work today. :]

Ranked gets easier when your teammates know how to actually play the game.
 
I want to get up to level 40 soon but with me only doing turf to preserve my S rank, it's not going good. I'm almost level 39 though.

You can just squad with people since that doesn't affect your rank. (It's the main reason I want to get to S just because I want to play ranked without the stress of ruining my rank.)

So squad battles don't affect ranks above S? Interesting.

I've got a long way to go, but that's going to be fun...
 
I wouldn't mind squadding with you guys sometime. Been trying to get back to A+ but whenever I get to 90 I always lose the next match and it's so frustrating.
 
My preference for ranked modes is probably: Splat Zones, Rainmaker, Tower Control.

This could change when Octobrush Nouveau is released, though, since my weapon of choice (OG Octobrush) has awful ranged potential and the area around the tower/rainmaker is usually a huge cluster of crossfire that is difficult to navigate through with a brush.
 
Attempting to level up gear is becoming such a chore. I keep getting the connection unstable message whenever I play a turf war. Happened five times in a row today, usually in the last 30 seconds of the match! Doesn't happen in any other mode either.

I could've hit level 39 today. ;-;
 
I ranked down to B again noooo! I also have a new main by the way, the dual squelcher is awesome! I also have no idea if it's the regular one or the deco one but i do know that it has the splat bomb sub weapon.

It's horrible, i hope something could be done to fix it. Or at least decrease the amount of disconnections. I lost a lot of rank points because of disconnections :/
 
I hate splat zones. And tower control is my favorite. But everyone seems to think differently because tower control never seems to be in the rotation :(
