It ought to be on a new system, with better online infrastructure and better ways to communicate in game. Playing twin squads is a pain when one squad is doing their own thing and the other squad is doing their own halfway across the map.

Idk man I mean the WiiU itself has a damn mic. The reason they didn't want voice was because they didn't want anyone to get bashed right? And another argument was the language barrier, though regional servers would solve that issue. Now playing with friends on the other hand... get old school and get you and your friends in a conference call so you could splat it up (bad paraphrasing)

the game is very well received and there's so much they can do with it if they're to make a sequel
it's probably my favorite game on the Wii U

I think it would only come out after the Wii U and 3DS wifi is discontinued. Otherwise, its pretty pointless.

honestly Nintendo would do anything to have an excuse to make new amiibos and for more people to waste their money so i could definitely see it

Hmm i bet that they would create a sequel in some form but not very soon for sure.

The Splatoon development team mostly consists out of people who develop the Animal Crossing games as well so my guess is that there won't be a sequel until the next Animal Crossing game is released. Which won't be anytime soon, probably 3-4 years or something... So sad...

Server pressure is also one of the reasons that voice chat isn't a thing. There are enough connection issues without voice chat so i'm happy that it isn't a thing.

Yeah you got a point there, I DC maybe 10% of the time so it I didn't really think about it.
