My wife recently started playing ACNH with me and we are having trouble trying to get actual spiders, not Tarantulas, to spawn in the trees! It is one of the few bugs she is missing at the moment. Does anyone know if they spawn on online play?

They should be spawning online!

They're rarer than the bagworms, so just keep shaking trees and hopefully you guys will eventually get one!

It's exactly what @Krissi2197 said. Also, while I wouldn't rule out the possibility of finding spiders on pine trees, they often spawn on either common hardwood trees or fruit trees. I never saw one on a pine, but I recently found a bagworm on a pine tree so it may just be even more rare to find them on pines.

Funnily enough I've only found bagworms on regular trees but the two spiders I managed to catch were on pines!!

After reading this post, I shook 3 Cedar trees and found a spider. Remember they only spawn between 7pm-8am. You cannot catch them from 9am-6pm

We are seeing it is more commonly pines who have spiders! Even a YouTuber said she had luck finding them in Pines/Cedars. She started less than a week ago and has already about caught everything save for the things I mentioned! (We are missing Ants.) She is missing flies, spiders, and ants.

Just to clear something up, guys, Pine and Cedar are two different trees/wood
I'm such a nerd :(

Yeah haha I find it funny cause in the game, it's called cedar, but I always look at those trees and think of pines. It's even worse because, when autumn comes, you'll need to shake those trees to get pine cones...
