Saharah is a camel who sells rare wallpapers and carpets and since they're random the house interior might be messed up.

Frankly, I don't trust Saharah's services since the decoration usually clash with the theme which I want for my home.
I even ignore the "Interior Design Initiative" due how random is the carpets and wallpapers which he leave.

Saharah had his gender censored just due the thick eyelashes which actual male camel share in order to protect the eyes from sand.

Considering the smug like voice of Saharah and the clothing style which no woman would wear I refuse to call him as a "she".

I believe it would better if we could check the carpets and wallpapers which Saharah have before he does his services.

I like Saharah and I like when she/he visits town! Paying a pretty hefty amount, taking her to my house and then having to leave to hear bashing and banging from the outdoors, I'd like to know the process!

I don't mind not knowing what wallpaper/floor is going to be left after paying. Fills up my catalog and sometimes the combinations are weird and interesting. It would be more upsetting if Saharah didn't give back you're old wallpaper/flooring and you were stuck with a odd combination. But since it's an easy fix, no biggy!

I actually love Saharah, its really fun to see what She/ He will give me. Plus omg the dialogue in the RV is so funny. I really like Saharah one of my favorite NPCs

Had no beef until she walked towards me to push me around when the game was saving yesterday. I'm always paranoid about these things so I reloaded to check and save again. Things seem OK but I did notice that the map on the bottom screen loaded one or two seconds too early as my character was coming out the door that time. She better stay away now. Please and thank you.

She's silly. Or he, whatever. I know her dialogue is funny. Last time I talked to her she was going on about how Tom Nook was kicking her out of his store and she kept calling him "the Nook man."

I love Saharah, personally. I hate a lot of the random design choices I get from him, but that's not the important thing. The important thing is he gives me rare wallpapers and floors. I LOVE wallpapers and floors, because it gives you more design options for your room. I personally feel like sometimes a good wall/floor choice can help make a room, and a bad choice can help break it.

Saharah is kind of annoying since you have to walk her to your house and then deal with all the dialogue and cutscene at your house, and then you'll probably just end up changing the carpet and wallpaper back anyway. You aren't even guaranteed to get an exclusive carpet or wall which sucks.

I always put on a lucky item like the celebration hat or tingle hood before talking to her. I usually end up with a rare wallpaper and/or floor. :)

I strongly disagree about Saharah's clothing choice. Women wear vests fairly often; you have to remember they're animals. Just like Mabel wears an apron, only covering her lower half and leaving her chest exposed, they don't have to cover their chests.

I really don't care about Saharah's gender either way. It's strange on a base level that they changed Saharah's and Gracie's sexes, but it's not surprising. American audiences, you know? Sexism and such. I call she and Gracie "she" because in the American version, which I play, that's their sex, so... *shrugs and does the Shrunk Funk Shuffle*

Personally, I've never used Saharah's services because it's such a terrifying notion, not being able to control what wall or floor get put in... I didn't know if she destroyed the wall and floor you already had in place, so I just stayed away. And now that I have nearly all the wall and carpet...I'd rather buy the few I don't have than gamble. Still! She's a cute character, and I love the concept (and reality!) of particular Arabian cultures.

Also, apparently Saharah fakes the accent. She used to be on stage same as Shrunk, and she didn't have the accent then. So she puts on a show to sell carpet and wallpaper. Scandalous!

They pegged down his importance from Wild World since I remember you'd only get exclusive carpets/floors in that (tropical vista for example). Now he just sells any old tat for the same price (I think it was 3k in WW as well but not 100% on that).

I do still agree to the deal occasionally though just for the funny dialogue. I love the, "I will accept the money now. Thank you. Yes. Ok" thing (s)he does. Kind of like Lyle but less rambling.

I guess most people don't like her? Personally, I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that "no woman would wear" a vest. It's just a vest? And plenty of women have slightly lower voices.

Saharan is my favorite NPC. She has the only dialogue that has ever made me laugh out loud. That whole spiel she does about how "Peace is unity. Unity is harmony." or whatever, and then she says "I tell this to the Nook man. He ask me to leave." Honestly, I think she's great.

I still find Sahara a pointless visitor since we can get better services in order to purchase carpets and walpapers from the RVs and his weird dialogue is not really that funny.

His vest would be more convincing if he had a under shirt, although they're animals, none of the villagers wear vests which are that revealing.

A woman would look kinda slutty with part of her breasts and midriff being exposed while wearing that kind of outfit.

Another reason which is ridiculous to change his gender because of the thick eyelashes is that Nintendo of Japan could even add his famity and show a wife which looks much more feminine than himself.

RV's didn't exist when the game first released though, so I wouldn't say Saharah was pointless. Maybe now she's rendered a little less useful, but she had 4 years to provide her exclusive wallpaper. Besides, not everyone played ACNL online or could get those items anywhere else, but from her. And not everyone buys the amiibos.

There is nothing revealing about her shirt. I say her, because the name Saharah just reminds me of a girl, and I've never known her to be a guy, but I personally don't care. She has no boobs. She is an animal.. Those things don't apply to her -_- Maybe you think that outfit would look slutty on a human, but she isn't a human! Lol. Are you saying that animals are slutty for not wearing human clothes? Probably not, but when you compare a woman's outfit to a fictional animal character's outfit, it kind of sounds like it..

And I do not understand your last point. You want Nintendo to add a family/wife for Saharah to show that he is male? But you were just complaining how pointless Saharah herself was.. So a family just to show her gender is even more useless.

PS: Why are we even arguing about a fictional character in a kid's games gender? Is this what the world has come to?? If you want Saharah to be a boy, then that's cool. If Saharah was designed as a girl, that's cool too. There is nothing offensive to see here either way. Lol

I respect your opinion, I just thought this was a really funny and silly topic to kind of get riled up about :P

aw i love saharah though haha, the animations after she redecorates my house and the thrill of getting which wallpapers and carpets from her really excite me lmao.
