Hi everyone,

I have two more bugs to go: fly and scorpion.

I have a tyre sitting in the middle of my town, but it isn't attracting any flies. When I chucked a rotten orange in the middle of my town, ants swarmed on it instantly. This is not the case with the fly. How did you get your flies to spawn?

I have deen a scorpion ONCE in my 200 hours of ACNL gameplay. I am guessing I won't see another one until it's warmed up.

Apologies, I tried searching other threads, but the search function didn't like my search terms :(

For the fly, just leave a rotten turnip lying about. It may not be available now, i dunno. Check the AC wiki for it's available times.
And the scorpion, I don't believe it's available at this time of year. Again, check AC wiki for available times.

Scorpion is available during summer time, I think beginning June, they'll start spawning.
As for the fly, if you leave out a rotten turnip or rotten fruit, it'll be flying over it shortly after.

As said, rotten turnips will definitely attract flies. I think cans and boots from the river might too.

Scorpions are July - September and are very rare to spawn. I was playing for hours everynight towards the end of September trying to find them, and the first 3 all stung me before I caught them. You might need to make sure you don't have stuff all over the floor/patterns to make them spawn. And the easiest way to get them is to do laps of your town and on each lap enter a building.

DO you have the perfect town ordinance on? Because I think that gets rid of flies, but I'm not sure about ants...

I have beautful ordinance and left a turnip to rot and it attracted a fly. It also single-handedly brought down my perfect town status, but I picked it up and am okay now.

I took the beautiful town ordinance off to get the fly and get some gold roses :D Tyre and can next to each other still aren't attracting any flies, so I'll try the rotten turnip once Sunday ticks over :)
