Space requirement for projects and buildings (from japanese guide)

Very cool. I guess most of the space needed is alike, but this is still helpful :) Thanks for sharing it.

does anyone know the spacing for bridges? :o

in the guide i can't find it, but from experience i know some things!
i posted it earlier in this thread: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?145805-Bridge-placement-space

"I've tried to calculate this, but i'm not 100% sure (pretty sure though).
horizontal it seems that it's 4x4 on each side of the bridge, like this:

0 is land
# is free/"extra" space needed
~ is water
= is bridge

00000~~~~00000
0####~~~~####0
0####====####0
0####====####0
0####~~~~####0
00000~~~~00000

once it's placed, the free space is reduced to 1x4 like this:

00~~~~00
0#~~~~#0
0#====#0
0#====#0
0#~~~~#0
00~~~~00

---

i've tried building it vertically too, but the weird thing was that it needed LESS space? i had a pile of pipes on one side of the river and it could get as close as this:

p is pile of pipes

000####
000#PP#
000#PP#
000####
0000000
####000
~==~~~~
~==~~~~
~==~~~~
~==~~~~
####000"

about the vertical bridge:
i assume the game is logical, and the "extra" space is not in an irregular shape, this must mean the vertical bridge space requirement is maximum 2 by 4, like this:

000000
0####0
0####0
~~==~~
~~==~~
~~==~~
~~==~~
0####0
0####0
000000

diagonally i don't know....

very useful! thank you u v u

Thanks so much! It seems like Japanese stuff is so much better D:

you're welcome! yes, japanese stuff is great, why can't i buy facials masks with pretty manga illustrations on the packaging over here ;o;...??? or sandwiches with whipped cream and fresh strawberries on the corner of the street...;o;? aaa i miss it. when i was there, it felt like they put extra attention and care in everything it was so nice
