The news is reporting a class-action lawsuit against Taco Bell that claims the ground beef used in their products is less than 35% beef.

Shockingly, according to the Today Show's consultant, the federal standard for "ground beef" is merely 40% beef.

This reminded me of the science-fiction/mystery movie "Soylent Green," starring Charlton Heston. If you haven't seen the movie, it's worth a rental.

It's true haha. Most of the meat used in fast food is.. not really meat at all. If you've had the experience to watch the process you'd probably never eat meat again. Either that or cut down on fast fooding. It's not the prettiest process in the world.

Embrace todays culture. DO IT.

Also giblets+bone is still healthier for you than actual meat, people are just a little iffy on it. WAY back hundreds of years ago people would use every part of an animal in food, clothing, everything, just to make sure that it was honored properly. To be honest. I don't care lol.

I don't care what it's made of.

As long as it doesn't kill me and it tastes good.

Hell, I'd eat a cow's ass, as long as it's clean, it doesn't poison me, and it tastes good.

If you've ever had rump roast you already have. It's actually kind of a delicacy and really friggen good.

Hmm interesting, I barely eat any fast food or at least avoid it at all costs. Also the second I read this it reminded me of Upton Sinclair's book "The Jungle". A very good piece of literature, I must say. And it was about the conditions of the meat packing industry. That then led to TR making the Meat Inspection Act, that was a addition to the Pure Food and Drug Act. Hmmmph I'll stop talking now, I'm probably boring you.

Meh, I hate tacos. There aren't even any Taco Bells where I am, don't think there are even many - if any in Australia.

you know what that video doesn't really upset me about chicken nuggets... I mean if you are gonna kill an animal for food at least try to use most of it, and just because there is bone made edible doesn't make it bad, bone marrow is actually something predators will eat... why do you think dogs chew on bones...

If it doesn't make me sick why is it bad? Fattening? Sure, but that just means you need more than just fast food in your diet. It is still perfectly fine on occasion, just not you know daily.

You're going to have to get used to me doing ^^^ this to nearly everything you say. Enjoy.

Wanna see how chicken nuggets are made? I'm sure tacos are the same.

tagline: welcome to america, we don't care what we eat.

the taco bell thing hit me hardest since i've eaten there twice recently (and haven't eaten anywhere TOO fast-food in years), but i've avoided mcD's since around the beginning of high school. i'd still eat a hot n' spicy mc chicken and a quarter pounder/double quarter pounder, but i know better than to take the risk on the nuggets. if only because i don't want various bits of beak/etc to be in my mouth. or just generally not going to mc donalds for chicken.
