Just purchased it on PSN. Pretty cool, I like the fact that its a lot faster paced than the last 2D entry, Sonic 4. Anyone try it yet?

No, I dont think I will. I'm not trashing the game, its just... *sigh*

I am currently downloading it and it is at 31% done now. :)
This should be really good and I am glad that the final product will be an actual PlayStation 3 game and not a downloadable game as the PlayStation really sucks a lot of the Broadband up...

I'd prefer if it was downloadable, makes it a lot cheaper and easier to get for me since it'll be out when I'm in college.

Don't like it. It may not be the final product, but I found it really difficult to progress without getting hit constantly.

I just tried it. It wasn't too bad, but it's still in early production. I was sort of hoping for more alternate routes (like there were in the classic sonic games) because it felt so linear.

Yeah, I can't help but agree. It's alright, but I have hoping 2D Sonic would be more 2D and then I was hoping Green Hill Zone would be the same.

It's actually an extremely promising turn for the series. Keep in mind, the production is still volatile. Green Hill Zone still has the same path going on until halfway through, then it just gets incredible. I'm extremely excited to see what they do to the modern stages when it comes to making them 2D for Classic Sonic's run. I'm also extremely looking forward to playing the Modern Sonic stages. I hope they have a few Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure 2 stages in the mix.

City Escape was confirmed I believe, but the Adventure games definitely had some of the best levels 3D wise.

I played it recently, just yesterday I believe. I like it but I wish they gave a taste of the modern sonic I don't know if you can play as modern on PS3 because I played on XBOX so yeah... (so tired it took me three tries to write that statement >_<)

On PS3 we played as Classic Sonic as well. Let my mom try it, since she got me into Sonic. She expressed some disappointment about how Green Hill Zone wasn't the same but thought it was decent.
